Input settings available from game scene

Why are the input settings not available from the game scene? Now i have to go back all the way to the main menu to make a change to a key binding for example my Joystick. I see no reason why this settings could not be made available from the game scene. Just a little thing that makes things easier...

While we're at it, why not just have the whole settings screen directly accessible from the pause menu? That should mean the devs don't need to maintain two+ separate settings UIs
