Thud Landing Scouting

If you get the Krag's Planet Factory mod, one of the bodies added is Thud. It has 3.14 gees of gravity at the surface, but no atmosphere. After "careful" thought, I hyperedited a small probe around it, I did a basic survey of the altitudes at the equator. The results:

Lowest altitude: Around 5.5 km ASL

Average altitude: 10-13 km ASL

Highest altitude ASL: Around 23.5 km ASL

The lowest altitude for a safe, nearly equatorial orbit would thus be around 25 km ASL.

I once successfully hyperedit tested a Thud lander. Unfortunately, I never got around to actually running the whole mission. Thud is hard.
