NovaSilisko
This project has been incorporated into NovaPunch! http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4180.0 Hello! I make parts for SIDR&SD. Originally for personal use, I decided just to put them here since the vanilla game is terribly lacking in parts! (for now)IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THOSE UPGRADING FROM VERSIONS 1.0 AND LOWER2 meter parts have been renamed to 1.75 meter. Due to sunday punch naming some of his parts the same as mine, I had to rename my parts internally as well. If you install these parts over installations of the old pack, you will have duplicate copies in your parts list. However, due to the renaming, old ships will not work. As a work around, use the duplicate part method mentioned previously to swap out parts one by one. It\'s not ideal, but it will have to do.Download 1.3!Please report any problems you find. Now with satellites!Download Pod Replacer #1: Gemini/Mercury inspiredDownload Pod Replacer #2: Unmanned control modulePictures and details!- AA-BB Linear Decoupling StrutSimilar to a normal decoupler, but made of scrap metal and a lot longer.- SSH Series, Model 221 Solid BoosterAfter draining the water out, these big meaty boosters should work fine. More or less.- HH-77 Insulated Fuel TankAn orange tank from the HH-77 line of budget spacecraft parts.- HH-77 Insulated NoseconeAn orange nosecone from the HH-77 line of budget spacecraft parts. Also available with an attached parachute.- Small Bootleg Command ModuleConstructed of the highest quality scrap metal, glass bottles and used paper mache.- GG-M4 Liquid Fuel EngineLess engine, less safety. Burns through fuel at 1.5x speed, but has the same thrust and 1/3rd the weight of the LV-T30.- TD-M9 Mini DecouplerA much smaller version of a normal decoupler, weighing much less and being cheaper, at the expense of being fairly sensitive.- CMM-96 Surplus BoosterDon\'t let it\'s legal status fool you, this is a wonderful booster. The only problem with it is it can only be mounted on the sides of things.- HH-78a Large Fuel TankA large 2 meter tank from the HH-78 set of rocket parts.- HH-78b AdapterA large 2 meter to 1 meter adapter from the HH-78 set of rocket parts.- HH-78c AdapterA large 2 meter to 3 meter adapter from the HH-78 set of rocket parts.- MPM-20 S.A.S ModuleA larger SAS for larger rockets. Quite powerful and heavy.- Medium BerthaOne of the most powerful engines on the market. It loves to overheat, eat fuel, and take long walks on the beach.- AM-27 NoseconeA fancy roundy nose cone! Very prestigious.- KMX Industries MiniBoosterUsually in Kerbal constructions, parts are UPSIZED after having been found to be TOO SMALL. Not at KMX Industries. Instead, we make things SMALLER after complaints about them being TOO SMALL!- Platinum Communications Model BXs-7A small communications satellite, (hopefully) destined for Kerbin orbit.- Platinum Communications Model BXs-9A lightweight communications relay satellite built by Platinum Communications Ltd.- And a hell of a lot more[li]Large Bertha[/li][li]Twin Bertha Lite[/li][li]Double-length 2M fuel tank[/li][li]Strake[/li][li]2 meter decoupler[/li][li]2 to 3 meter[/li][li]3 to 2 meter[/li][li]1 to 2 meter[/li][li]2 to 1 meter[/li][li]2 to 3 meter decoupler[/li][li]1 to 2 meter decoupler[/li][li]2 to 1 meter decoupler[/li][li]Too much more[/li]Changelog!v1.3:Tweaked N1 engine, made it less likely to detach at randomTweaked all 1.75m engines, now are heavier but produce a bit more thrustAdded small orbital adjustment engineAdded small hollow decouplerAdded 1m to 1.75 short adapterReduced decouple force on clamp and decoupler strutUpdated skins of the large SRB and the sidemount SRBMade the Nano SAS have larger effectsv1.2:Fixed a small texture bug with the long fuel tank alt skinAdded payload assist moduleAdded space probeAdded radial flangeAdded decoupler flangeAdded docking claw (decorative for now)Tweaked N1 stats a bitRemoved an errant .psd from the downloadv1.1:Added a selection of N1 rocket inspired partsAdded an unmanned payload guidance moduleAdded alt paint job for double length tankRenamed all 2 meter parts to 1.75 meterFixed strake having no informationAdded Nano SASAdded Nano DecouplerAdded 1.75 to 2 meter adaptersUpdated stack parachute textureNew model for Bootleg Command ModuleDue to release demands, I didn\'t fit the Payload Assist Module into this updatev1.0:Improved numerous textures and modelsChanged the stats for the GG-M4Added two new two-meter enginesAdded a two-meter double length fuel tankBalanced out the large SRBAdded a tiny nosecone for the mini SRBsAdded two-meter decoupler clampsAdded two sizes of detachable noseconeAdded parachute with an attachment point (to place nosecones on)Added strake (like a tall winglet)Decoupler strut no longer allows fuel flowChanged Medium Bertha to be a midpoint between the two new enginesSize adapters now contain 100 units of fuel.v0.9:Made 2m SAS not be completely uselessOrange insulated fuel tank now made very resistant to heat.Minidecoupler now has less force, for non-disruptive in-orbit disconnectionsBalanced out the GG-M4 engineUpdated a bunch of texturesAdded Mini solid boosterAdded 2 meter straight decouplerv0.81:Tweaked 2m fuel tank amounts and weights to better fit between 1m and 3m fuel tanks from Sunday Punch\'s pack.v0.8:Added 2 meter detachable nosecone (currently fairly useless, will be better with KSP 0.9)Added 2 satellite payloads to take to orbit (eventually will be compatible with the above nosecone)Updated all nosecones to have almost 0 dragv0.7:2 meter SAS strength increased slightlyTapered 2 meter SAS model so it can be stacked without z-fightingAdded half-height 2m fuel tankDecreased weight of both 2 meter fuel tanksv0.6:I hate the number six so I\'m skipping this versionv0.5:Tweaked CMM booster, now costs less(like that matters...yet)Changed the GG-M4 engine to use 3x the normal liquid engine fuel, but have more thrust, and be very heat efficientVarious 2 meter parts no longer corrupt saved shipsAdded a ton of new 2 meter couplingsv0.4:Reduced 2 meter tank fuel capacity by 100 (was 800, now 700)Changed 2 meter engine texture (again)Fixed typo in miniliquidengine ('shame' was supposed to be 'same')Added 2 to 3 meter couplerAdded 2 meter noseconeAdded 1 meter noseconeAdded Mini Decouplerv0.31:Changed 2 meter engine texturev0.3: Added various 2 meter wide segments(2-1m adapter, 2m engine, 2m SAS module and 2m fuel tank)Added Energia-inspired rocket booster. Sponbo
Awesome, i love the new Decoupler. Was it your intention to let fuel pass it ?Moreover you cant put decoupler on the new orange fueltank. Would it be possible to fix that ?
Zeno
Love those decouplers.
NovaSilisko
Moreover you cant put decoupler on the new orange fueltank. Would it be possible to fix that ?I'll change that ASAP. Originally it was intended but I can switch it easily.
drizzcat
I'll change that ASAP. Originally it was intended but I can switch it easily.Yes please fix it. We can't add Heat Sinks and the Like onto them either. Keep Burning out Engines while hauling Retarded amounts of Fuel.

feanor
Working on an Energia inspired solid rocket booster: High fuel capacity and thrust, cannot be stacked.although energia had of course liquid boosters, but allright, I like the design so I'll let this sacrilege slip! NovaSilisko
Well we'll just pretend they're full of liquid fuel.Anyway, finished the booster:Started work on some 1.75 (or something) meter segments:But I am going to go to bed, and will resume work tomorrow. Guradem
Great parts man especially the Command Module but I have noticed one thing. The HH-77 fuel tank seems to share fuel between tanks on the same stage. For instance if you build a rocket with 3 stock tanks & 1 stock LFR and then booster strap 2 HH-77's to it both with standard LFR's the fuel will drain from the first 2 stock tanks on the central booster before the HH-77 tanks start to be emptied. However the fuel will only move in 1 direction from the stock tanks in the centre outwards into the HH-77's and not back into the central booster. This has the effect of depleting the central boosters fuel before the strap on boosters and means you have to carry dead tanks for 1/4 of the first stage. You can get around it partial by doing an ATLAS and dropping engine but your still hauling a lot of dead weight. Is this the way the tanks are meantto work ? At the moment, it's how the game is actually coded to use fuel, he's thinking of a fix I believe.
cttw
Can you add a new decoupler like your current one but that does not let fuel flow through it? Thank you for these cool parts!

NovaSilisko
It's funny considering I've only had the game since the 21st...I'll change the linear decoupler to disallow fuel flow (if possible)
drizzcat
Can we have 2 Versions of it? I like Having the Fuel Go thru them.

dumbo13
Hey im having trouble adding these parts cause of the rar thing, i always put it in the parts folder but it doesnt show and i have always added the other parts successfully
Baker Easy
Oh, man, these are awesome. I started putting some parts together, stepped back, and realized it was an S-IVB. Now all we need is a 2m to 1m adapter, and then 2m to 3m adapters to go with Sunday Punch's parts. And if we can start turning those adapters into decoupler shrouds...Can anyone say 'first KSP all-up Saturn V'?
NovaSilisko
Just realized I forgot to put info for the new engine in the thread. I'll add it soon. Also, some planned pieces:Apollo inspired command module lower half (functions like a controllable solid rocket booster)Micro decoupler2m hollow decouplerAlternate 2m engines2m noseconeAnd when the features are supported:Heat shieldsDeployable solar panels and radiatorsMore command modules
Andras
I've been experimenting with different engines and tanks. I put a stock LFR under your 2m tank with a CC and 1m-2m shroud and that sucker went to 38km and burned for 2:20 on about 75% power.
