I made a pony flag. And yes, I did do a special Mün mission just to test it out.

Here's the flag itself in case anyone wants to use it.

The center element was ripped from here, the other stuff was shamelessly stolen from the NASA logo.

I'm also using a few MLP flags, though it's not obvious to those who aren't familiar with it.

For irony's sake, I tested the flag planting not by putting the NLR one on the Mun, but the Solar Empire one.

Hmm. I see what you mean. It is the silhouette of Glacierre's small SSTO ship which I found in a posting below. Rescaling from the original image didn't do it justice. Ideally I wanted a silhouette of a ship orbiting the moon. Easy enough to remove/replace since it's in a layer on my PAINT.NET file.

It's precariously balancing on the engine exhaust. I miscalculated the distance the lander legs extend out, so they're all just hanging uselessly in the "air"/vacuum. It wasn't one of my "test first on land then apply to Mun landing" type of landers. More of a "I think I'll try to land on the Mun today" landers. I should have enough delta-V to get back to the orbiting command pod, I think. Spent more than I wanted to in that landing.

Yes, that's a RemoteTech dish. Adds a nice bit of realism to unmanned flights, now that I have a basic network orbiting Kerbin and relay stations at the poles. I'll set up a relay on or orbiting the Mun next, I think, so I can send a MapSat probe to Minimus, survey, then look at some unmanned/manned landings. (Probably cheaper to set up a long range dish relay in orbit, though, but, eh.)

I think that there is no "best" pony, they complementary to each other.

Anyway, I believe that point of this series is promoting diversity and show children that "buddy up" with people showing different (than You) personalties and interests is a good idea.
