Hello, Fellow Explorers.

Greetings to one and all.

I only signed up last night but have been playing for a couple of months now. (not that I am doing very well.)

So far I have, finally, designed and built a fairly good craft that has managed to get Jeb, Bill and Bob Kerman onto Mun.

They arrived all in one piece and the lander, with science module, touched down upon Muns surface with expert handling of the controls... Cough!... cough!

Ok so things got a bit hairy for a moment or two but no damage was sustained.

The only problem is that the hapless trio are now marooned as the lander came down on fumes and the rockets only have enough fuel to make them burp.

I have been trying to mount a rescue mission, without success, and have killed off so many Kerbals that they must see me as a mass murderer!

What I would like to do is get a Rover and some extra fuel to them.

The reason I want the Rover is to find an interesting Arch of rock I saw whilst on one of my orbits (Looks kind of alien.)

What is the best method of achieving this?

I absolutely love... love... love KSP. :D

Yours.

Jay.

What kind of parts do you have, or are you playing sandbox?

If you have the claw on the rover, you can grab the stranded vessel and pump fuel into it by right-clicking on its tank, alt-right-clicking on the ship's tanks, and telling it to transfer fuel.

But actually, it might be easier to just fly another ship there to give them a ride. Unless you land very nearby, driving across Mun in a rover always takes much longer than you think it will, and that's assuming you don't crash long the way. :D

Hi Vanamonde.

I am playing sandbox, at the moment. I thought it best to try a few things before I embark on career mode.

That's a handy tip though the claw on the rover idea. Only problem with that is my tank is quite a long way up. (my lander resembles a multi-storey car park on legs.)

Yeah... I think I might just launch another ship, the same one that got them there but with extra fuel to get them home.

It's a shame because I really wanted to check out that Arch I saw. Oh well, maybe another day.

This is one of the best pieces of advice to give! Don't waste you're time driving.
