Inspired by you, I built this.

It spins, but can't take off.

not much smaller than yours

Timewarp is possible while on ground.

Nice one! Can you post a video of it moving?

I'm going to try this idea, but with the bigger more durable wheels. Maybe that could make a Heli.

Yeah try it with landing wheels. that's a heli bearing. it will be much bigger but stronger too.

I mean, it looks as if it doesn't stay flat when turning.

But I will take your word for it matey.

I'm loving this bearing discussion! What did you make there?

A landing gear wheeled thingy, it can turn even when the ship is at top speed (12-4 m/s). And by that I mean it stays just stable on the ship.

The motors for the tank and sip i desinged myself, here are the motors:

But I tried it with yours and seems to work just fine. The first one has 76 parts, second one has 3hundred something. I also have a even smaller one with 31 parts, no pics yet.

That's a good idea, only 1.5 heavier

LOL cool. That was your stayputnik bearing right? I've seen landing gear used in bearings as they have no max speed and are strong.

My aim with this one was to be as small as possible.

Yes, compact and smooth, yours is really nice!

Landing gear are also very lightweight, but it looks like they have single axis suspension unlike rovers

Here's a hybrid that is low on part strong and lightweight, but sometimes it just unplug lol:

Try to put a bit of offset torque on it, it will pop off

It is smaller but it is nowhere near the same engineering level sorry.

Craft file download if it's really that great

No it's yours, I'll take some screenshots.

Then your using it incorrectly. As I stated in the first post you should keep the centre of mass as close to the center of the bearing as possible. It's tiny and has a very smooth action but its also delecate.

I have hung large fuel tanks from it and it worked perfectly as the center of mass was centred. Don't full pitch up or down and rotate either.

As you can see in the vid, under normal usage it's great.
