Trajectory missing?

Hi Guys,

used the search and Google, did not find anything.

I dont know what happened, but my grey/blue-trajectory line is missing. Have tried almost everything, incl. re-installing the game. Is there an in-game-option to en-/disable the trajectory line that I havent found yet?

I can't be sure from the screenshot, but it looks like you're viewing the icon from 'behind' Kerbin; rotating the camera such that Kerbin is not in the way should show the trajectory.

It's essentially to know, if you are playing the sandbox mode, or a career game.

In a sandbox game you should see your trajectory, but:

If the second option is the case, Starhawk is right when it comes to manouver nodes, tracking targets and so on.

Actually, you can see orbits with an unupgraded tracking station, it's just that the orbit's grey, targeting stuff can only be done in the staging/docking view by clicking on the target symbol thing, the conics aren't patched, and you don't have access to maneuver nodes. (You can't track asteroids either.)

Firstly, to clear up confusion, can you offer a better image of what's going on? The only thing I can think of that could be causing this is CONIC_PATCH_DRAW_MODE in your settings.cfg file, but it shouldn't remove orbits completely, and reinstalling should overwrite your settings.cfg file. Otherwise, perhaps a graphical bug?

Also, have you seen correctly drawn trajectories before (that is, is this not your first time playing?) If so, when did this start?

I'm playing in career mode. The trajectory line was visible up to one point - but i can't identify any special event that triggered the disappearance.

vexx32: Happened to me before, but i scrolled around the whole planet - there was no trajectory line at all.

Due to another unknown event/accident, my current savegame was deleted (the savegame-handling is a pain in the ***, isnt it?) and I loaded a slightly older one. BAM - trajectory line. I'm now missing a few tricky missions, but thats a price to pay for a visible t-line. Still doesn't know what triggered the disappearance :-(

I actually encountered this problem early in my 0.90 career save. Initially I assumed it was part of the update or a bug or something, but it turned out I'd just accidentally disabled my ship class on the map/tracking station without noticing . The ship itself was still visible (because I was controlling it I think), but the orbit path wasn't. You can turn it back on using the bar at the top of the tracking station / map view (hidden in map view until mouse over). Of course, it's possible the problem you encountered was something completely different, but hopefully this helps .

that sounds quite familir - too bad I can not give it a try, because this save-game is gone
