Help :( Satellite Contract Requirements - no room for error?

So I got to polar orbit with minimal deviation. How is this not completing? Everything matches up almost perfectly. Surely I must be missing something very obvious.

Also, any chance someone could help me understand what "longitude of ascending node" and "Argument of Periapsis" means?

EDIT:

Answered: I went the wrong direction to orbit *face-palm*

Your deviation is not minimal, it's actually maximal. You're going backwards :)

There are dots on the target orbit that go around in the direction your ship should be going. When you've got it right, the AN should be 0, not 180. Also, it doesn't need to be 0. It can be like 1 or even 3 sometimes and you'll still nail it.

I feel like such an idiot :P. Thank you very much for the reply. Just as I read this I saw another post about the whole going backwards thing. That post should be stickied :P. I face-palmed so hard my hand left a print lol.

Thanks again mr stranger! :D

Crunchynut,

I just did the exact same thing. So you're not alone. Of course, I was on my last dregs of fuel, so I couldn't even crash it back to Kerbin. Augh!

BTW, 5thHorseman, I used your Fundamentals series to help me build and properly fly and orbit my craft for this contract. Thanks. Next time I'll point south ;)
