Read have Read
That looks ace Sitkut. I cant even tell it is there. That would work really well for reorienting solar arrays like the ISS does for docking or at night.Maybe next you'll do thinner telescoping pistons and compact hinges? GavinZac
I'm terrible at textures at the moment but I did make two "docking washers" that are relatively low profile rotatrons that you can use to attach docking ports to. Then when docked you can use it to rotate your vessel so they can line up. Here's a screenshot of before and after (I was wanting to align windows). The little light & dark gray line between the docking port and the capsule is the docking washer. They are two colors because one was supposed to be the base while the other was the spinner. The spinner would only move but something isn't working correctly and I'm trying to resolve it. Until then you can play with these. I made a standard and a jr size. I offer no guarantees but they work for me. http://www./download/j1h4gxc3q4j83vv/dockingwashers.zipbeforehttp://i.imgur.com/3MiSTDy.jpgafterhttp://i.imgur.com/NltrYTB.jpg... marry me? sirkut
Let me know what you guys think of it while I work on the issues I mentioned. I will upload a newer version when I get it figured out. Oh and with a better texture.
sirkut
Feel free to redownload my docking washers. I smooth out the docking washer, both parts move separately from each other now! It will break what you have so don't be mad. I'll try pistons and other items next. I did notice that the docking washer works fine during initial docking but if you go to exit the flight and revisit it, the docking washers both move in sync with each other rendering this useless. Do you normally adjust then leave it be?Download hereHere's a video Edited June 25, 2013 by sirkut
Krisism
Awesome job sirkut! Thanks for taking the initiative on this - I know DR (or similar features) is something a lot of people in the community are hoping will come back to life. I'll try this out asap and give any feedback I can. Looking forward to seeing your attempt at pistons and hinges!!

Simplicity
Feel free to redownload my docking washers.Well, what can I say except WOW!!!!!!Thank you VERY much for this, I have been after something for I don't know how long to help align the parts of my space stations and up until now nothing has worked properly...These things will finally allow me to have everything lined up correctly...Will post impressions after I have a chance to test it out on my rather large stations

Zidane
This mod isn't supported by .202. I've been testing and, if included in the parts folder, KSP will load with no part at all (or only a few parts). Just letting everyone know. Please fix this as i really enjoy this mod as soon as your other affairs in your life allow you. Thank you very much.

A search for "infernal robotics" only comes up with people asking each other for the link.Your mod only seems to have your washers included. What should I do? I can't distribute those parts so just get them elsewhere. Devo and I are working on a set of new parts that should prevent you from having to get both downloads. AgentPaper
Just wanted to share a few compact solar arrays I made:First a small one designed to fit in a 2.5m expanded fairing:And a larger one for a 3.5m fairing:One thing I'd really like to see would be a telescoping cylinder that can extend to at least 2-3 times its compact length, but is less sturdy than the normal cylinder, as well as a 1.25m wide cylinder that extends about as far as the current one, and has fuel transfer and such enabled to allow you to make a sort of extending ship. Could also come in a 2.5m version if you're feeling generous.
KhaosCorp
Geez buddy, leave some sun rays for the rest of us =PBeing a HUGE fan of overkill I wholeheartedly approve!!Now the challenge is to build something that actually needs that much power.
