Bug fixes

Recommended Posts

As I'm sure we all know KSP has just entered the beta stage in development, although the beta tag is not entirely descriptive of the development of KSP I still believe that it is time for some much needed bug squashing. So my question is what are the devs plans regarding bug fixes? do they plan on releasing an update (perhaps .92) that is dedicated to eradicating some of the most disruptive bugs? or will they, with each update include some bug fixes from pervious versions of the game? Which would be easier/more time efficient.

My opinion, which I know isn't everyone's, is that they should take a timeout and do nothing but squash bugs. Even if it delays aero or refueling. While it is true they squash a few every patch, It's getting quite bad. Claw's list is growing, not shrinking, and it isn't just minor issues either. While that may be acceptable for a Early Access, Beta should see it diminishing.

Tbh I'd also like to see an official roadmap - googling has not helped with finding one k_sad.gif

That is not going to happen. You get info on what is coming in the next patch and occasionally comments on what they think them might possibly but maybe not like to do in the future. That's it, no road maps.

Funny how other games companies also don't seem to make roadmaps available, unless it's a driving game ;)

The only software roadmaps I was able to find after some Googling are the Logitech Squeezebox roadmap, which looks a lot like the changelogs / Dev blogs / articles that Squad provide, and the Introversion Prison Architect "roadmap" which is just a forum thread.

It seems that in almost all cases, internal documents are internal, and neither Indie developers like Mojang or big companies like EA are willing to make them available.

Unless those documents are the roadmaps, then you already have info on what's coming next :)
