Go for it! Lol. I kept forgetting to reply!

I have no time at the moment to design an SCA.

Alright! I'll start work on it already. Thanks! :D Should be done by around.. this week or similar.

updated second post WIP report.

This was totally MY fault. I'm so sorry. http://kerbalx.com/inigma/STS-Service-Module has been updated now with the correct craft file. I supposed when I was upload happy I uploaded the STS ComSats file over the STS Service Module file on KerbalX. Only KerbalX downloads were affected. Try it now. I uploaded the correct file now. Argh.

Argh too. It does not work for me.

Installed mods:

KSP: 1.0.2 (Win32) - Unity: 4.6.4f1 - OS: Windows 8.1 (6.3.9600) 64bit

Contract Configurator - 1.2.1

Contract Pack: Kerbal Space Station - 1.4.2

DMagic Orbital Science - 1.0.3

RasterPropMonitor - 0.19.4

Kerbal Engineer Redux - 1.0.16.6

KSP-AVC Plugin - 1.1.5

Infernal Robots - 0.21.2

Docking Port Alignment Indicator - 6.2

TextureReplacer - 2.4.4

TweakScale - 2.1

The service module is located in the right folder.

I've copied the craft file into the VAB. The craft appears, but some parts missing. When i load the craft, i see that the designed kanadarm is removed.

Downloaded from KerbalX and Mediafire.

Amazing view of a RemoteTech ComSat deployment... from a reoriented STS Operations Module! These amazing shots will now be standard fare for the STS Ops and STS Service Module once I release the STS ComSats (RT) subassembly. Hopefully this weekend! I finally figured out my sat design too.

edit: I actually figured I can dump the top solar panel and still have enough power. on to Prototype III.

STS ComSats (RemoteTech) published to KerbalX! OP updated! Requires 6 crew members, and either the STS Operations Module or STS Service Module to point a dish at the sats to control them to their final orbits.

Also STS Operations Module and STS Service Module have been updated/rebuilt with a properly oriented Mk2. Crew Cabin so rear views of the cargo bay from inside the crew cabin are possible...and beautiful:

That view, though.. indeed beautiful. Wow. Great work!

The Shuttle Carrier Aircraft is finished, flies really well, but I'd still have to tweak it to give a "robust and mighty" feel of maneuverability. Mighty.. it's not buff at all. Just a fat walrus. :sticktongue:

Anyways.. here is how it looks like, in flight. I still haven't added a tailcone, though.

Camera Tools is really good at taking glamour shots. If only I installed Scatterer.

Despite being a good flyer, the Shuttle seems to have developed a hobby for smashing the tail to bits. :( Warranty void if aircraft continues flying.

Feel free to tell me what you think so far! I'm open to criticism. :)

Nice pics!

Slow down your SCA to 0 throttle, and only release the orbiter when the SCA starts to drop altitude due to slow airspeed.

Yup. Totally forgot that when flying rockets and let the spent stages crashing into the main stage

the most important thing is to be at idle throttle and in a shallow dive before you release. Just like with the real ALT tests =)

I gotta look into this Camera Tools thing

It's... A marvellous machine.

Hint: try using sepratrons on the SCA to give you a small but good kick clear of the shuttle

Thanks for the feedback guys :) I'll see if low speeds would help..

Almost done!

And now with the shuttles lower part count I can actually finish the ISS. I am now working on minimizing the modules part count(multiple stations have died from the high part count kraken).

Hey, Ingima *Knock Knock*

It's been ages, but I have something I want to show you.

This was a older version, ready for Nostalgia?

It was an incredible mission with a fun landing.

You can find more on DMSP Mission Logs, and I'll try to include your shuttle in.

I haven't downloaded the new one yet, need to though (I have 1.0.0, so is there a chance you have a 1.0 version?).

Enjoy!

DMSP out.

P.S is there anything I get for the mission?

yes I do remember!

Oh and you earned this:

Fly the new STS-5 or STS-5E. Th STS-5 is a liquid booster varient with lower part count, the STS-5E is a solid rocket booster varient. Both for 1.0.2.

Hey Inigma,

I went onto KerbalX to download the new remote tech satellites, and there was no download button. Then, when I went to media fire, it was in a .craft.txt file. When I installed it into the game, it didn't work. Help?

It is close to what the real thing looked like on the plane before the last mission, now, make a huge parking lot where all the people were watching.
