  1. I'm pretty sure the point of retina is marketing. But I stand by my point, lower the resolution. You don't need it that high.
  2. Well, sorry to say that I can't fix that for you. But I will ask, why are you using a laptop at that resolution? Lower the res on the laptop and that should fix the problem. I'm playing on a 27" monitor at 2560x1440 and I don't see why I would need it to be any higher. So maybe give the lower res a try? I bet that after a few hours you wont even mind it.
  3. I don't understand why you guys are crashing so much. I had the game running. alt-tabbed out of it. put the computer into sleep mode, came back. played again. browsed the internet. watched tv. made and ate supper. played some more. watched more tv. played more again, and I finally just turned it off as i've played enough today. It didn't crash once in all that time... Maybe i'm just lucky.
  4. Thank you!!!!!!!!!! I'll give that a try. was pulling my hair out. and i dont have a lot left...
  5. Not arguing, but interesting story. After the crash of Swiss air 111 back in 98, I was at the Moncton Airport in New Brunswick (in a private building, not the terminal). A RCAF Airbus A320 had just taken off and was going transatlantic. About 15-20 minutes into the flight they reported back to the tower that they had smoke in the cabin and were returning to land. While they did dump fuel on the way back, they didn't have enough time to dump enough fuel to get below the max landing weight. So they landed anyway, above max weight, with a tail wind in rain/fog(and i'm pretty sure that they took the ILS below mins). Full thrust reverse with a runway covered in water was pretty cool to see. We were hoping to see a tire blow from hot brakes but I guess with all the water it was able to keep things cool enough that it didn't happen. Sorry, off topic but the comment about how max landing weight is lower than max take off weight reminded me of that story.
  6. Haha, but you still had the time to try and get in the last word. Might as well have said "I'm taking my bat and my ball and I'm going home"
  7. I think that the fins should have also been boosters. Because you can never have enough boosters.
  8. I just do what i always do and edit the part file. 400 thrust sounds about right...
  9. 1. Don't care. 2. Is it true that he felt unappreciated? That's for him to decide. No one else can make that decision. 3. Don't care.
  10. I just add fins/wings. Airbrakes, sure you can go that route. Does the same thing really. And if anyone is concerned about losing Delta V. Just add more boosters. Heck, while we are at it, why not edit the values to make the fins/wings dragless? Or increase the ISP of your rocket so that you gain an extra 1KM of fuel. It's a single player game. Play it your way.
  11. I must be the only person who doesn't hate Curse. Or I just haven't noticed anyone else... Not sure what the issue is, I can find a mod easily just by searching for it. Downloading is quick and easy. Why do people hate it so much? Is it just a trendy thing to do? I don't really remember kerbal stuff. I'm sure that I used it before and i'm sure that it was fine but I honestly don't remember it. At the end of the day, Squad has provided us with a site that we can use. Maybe it's user friendly, maybe it isn't. But It's fine for me... If someone from the community wants to make their own site to host mods then great, so be it. But it's kind of disheartening to read that the same community that claims to love it so much never said thanks to the guy to the point where he decides to call it quits.
  12. I rarely use heatshields on anything as it is. shallow approaches and some left over thrust to burn and kill your leftover speed.
  13. Hello, I made a large jump jet type aircraft, and on top of that attached a fighter plane by a stack separator. The jumbo jet hasn't a single part from this mod. The fighter has radar and missiles. When I separate the two, the jumbo jet is I guess the primary as that's what I stay in control of. When I switch over to the fighter that is now flying on it's own. I can't bring up the radar. Even though it does have it, and I was able to bring it up before the two aircraft were separated. I assume that this is a bug, sorry if it's been reported before.
  14. Hahahahahha... Hahhahahah.. You think that's bad? The company that I work for has decided that when it comes to job listings. That technical and correct information is something outdated. And they have moved to having job descriptions that are vague, in the same way that the parts in KSP's contracts are vague. For example: "you have a history of proven results … of making the products and services you have worked on and companies you have worked for better, stronger, more loved and more purchased." What does that even mean? It sounds like something that I would put on a resume just for filler to make it sound impressive. I agree, I wish that when I am supposed to include a part, that it specifically told me what part to include. It's a space program. It needs to be technically correct.
