Old one didn't really fit the "still new to this flight thing" aesthetic that should come with being so early in the tech tree. That said, who cares.

If anything neither new or old cockpit really fit with the new "bubble" inline cockpit, but whatever.

edit: If I had a gun to my head I prefer the new one.

YOTZA! The Mk1 plane cockpit is finally getting a sensible revamp!?! :0.0: Man I could go on and on about how tiny that old cockpit's window was and yet the IVA of it made it seem like its much bigger, it irritated the heck out of me, one of the reasons I NEVER use Mk1 plane cockpit in my designs. When this update rolls out I'll be building a sweet new space/aerial ride with the new cockpit!

I honestly done care since i dont like to have cockpits on the front of my vessels, one, rear mounted cockpits are more sci-fi (which the vast majority of anything that isnt utilitarian/resupply/fuel ships uses), and 2, the last thing you want is to go head first into a barrage of flak and have the most important component right in the front of your ship!

I generally use mk1 and mk2 inlines as they fit my style.

As for the new pit, i like how it fits the other parts well, but i also feel it is a little too civilian like (KSP is a space combat simulator, not a peaceful exploration game!), so it doesnt really fit combat designs, but hey, ill take a look at it and probably find some use for it once 1.1 comes out.

the old one is ram inefficient and visually clashes with pork jets parts(to dirty and smudgy) besides squad isn't required to give us redundant parts, and I'm sure a mod will resurrect the old cockpit when 1.1 hits.

Yep. I'm prefering it that way: Stock gives you a good amount of usefull parts for everything, and mods do everything else.

Yep, already did so with the Mk1 Inline Cockpit (pre release in the SETI thread).

I liked the old one. The new one is very good too. I don't much care for the current one though. Why make it look like it has air intakes and it not have any?

I'm worried. I'm FINALLY updating my version from 1.0.0, because the old computer that I had it on I couldn't launch patcher.exe (to update the game), because it needed an admin password. So all of the craft with the 'old' mk1 cockpit, will they be deleted or have the 'invalid parts' thing? Like the Aeris 3A and whatever. Will they be deleted, locked, or will there be like a 'Mk1 Cockpit A' and a 'Mk1 Cockpit B' for the old and new one.

All the old cockpits will turn into new cockpits.
