Not allowed to give user rep?

Recently, when I click to "like" a post sometimes, the forums pops up with a message stating I am not allowed to give that user rep, though I am able to like the post. Can someone explain this to me (why this happens, and if its a problem on my end or the other end.)

Have not observed this, can you get a screenshot the next time it happens?

Also, is it possible you've given 25 likes in a 24 hour period?

Sure. I'm not sure if I have, since afterwards, I can still like things without the normal "You have given out 25 likes today, you cannot give any more" message.

It's  bug, and fairly easy to reproduce. Just double click very quickly on the Rep button, and you'll get the message. Just ignore it, it doesn't do anything.

Confirmed.

Yeah, I was gonna ask about that. What is the purpose of that system? I can't see any possible harm with more than 25 likes being sent out every day.

I think the 25 limit is to keep people from going "Like" crazy, so to speak.

But I have to agree, there are days I'm working on Emiko, and might not do much of anything on the forum. But there are also days I take some time to try and catch up on the other fan-fiction stories, and I often run out of likes before I've had a chance to read everything.
