  2. First: linuxgurugamer thanks for creating and/or maintaining all these mods, they are awesome! Second: I am getting a lot of NullRef Exceptions when I enter simulation. The exceptions themselves don't seem to reference KRASH, but they seem to only happen when I enter simulation. Could you (or someone else) please have a look and see if they are a KRASH issue or if I should be looking somewhere else.   3. I updated the initial post and added a To Do list: Playtesting Fix engine ignitions interaction between Kerbalism and Real Fuels -> Turn off RF ignition limit with a patch? Adjust early LRTR tech tree for FAR & Real Fuels etc.: Aerodynamic sounding rockets, ullage motors etc. Adapt LRTR KCT config to allow for faster build time with recovered parts. Fix Kerbalism built-in antennas (is this a compatibility issue or a Kerbalism bug?) Find early (propellor) plane mod. Any pointers/suggestions/additions/help is welcome

I'm running Scrapyard and KCT etc on 1.10.1 (with RSS, LRTR and Kerbalism) and it all seemed to work fine, but now I got a crash to desktop when I tried to edit a recoverd plane from the KCT SPH window.   9. I don't know much about the inner workings of FAR, but I've been using it for years. I guess the RO tree and parts are all optimized for FAR. I think something like the Stayputnik without fairings won't work with FAR, scaled or not scaled I'll try out the V-2.   10. Yes, that was it! And some of those screen texts were actually quite helpful Thanks! I found the tree config and now I know what to research first. I initially thought I couldn't get any rockets in the air just because I hadn't played early career in ages and wasn't used to launching without ascension guidance. Now however I fear it is because of FAR. When you start there seems no possibility to build an aerodynamic rocket. The only option seems to be the Stayputnik. Is that correct? I first want to play LRTR as it was intended before I start changing too much, but eventually I will probably want to write my own KCT formulas. Do you have a document somewhere that explains what your formulas do? I find this document https://github.com/magico13/KCT/wiki/Preset-Formulas-and-Math-Parser-Documentation very difficult to read.

  12. @JadeOfMaar I had a quick look Rational Resources before, I guess I became allergic even to the name Liquidfuel so I moved on. But if it's just a name I could easily patch it. I'll have another more in depth look later today. I'll also have another look at your other suggestions (I tried Pathfinder a few years ago when every base mod made KSP explode). It is really a shame that @zekew11 dropped Coherent Resource System etc. I was building my mod on top of his back then. As for LS, if it's not gonna be Kerbalism it will be probably TAC-LS, Snacks is too simplified for me. But Airlines kuisine was on my list of options. Thanks! @Neil Kermstrong I'll have another look at SMURFF as well, but so far LRTR seems to be doing a good job.
  13. @blowfish yeah I noticed that my approach really messed up the meshes. I finally settled for replacing the tank definitions with Kerosene, LqdOxygen and Hydrazine. But that's not good enough if I want to keep using RF. I tried some @SUBTYPE and !tankType stuff earlier, but that didn't work at all. I probably made a mistake so I'll give it another try. Thanks!

Is that a question for LRTR or for RO/RP-1? KCT is not working as I am used to, no faster building with recovered parts, etc. Is that expected behaviour? Does it have something to do with the LRTR config for KCT, did this originate in RO/RP-1? (I read the KCT guide but I cannot figure out what the LRTR formulas do.) Thanks!

So far LRTR seems like a very good fit. I was a bit worried about the RP-1 tree. I was thinking about a mod so one can choose to start at a later date (2010 for example), if that is at all technically possible. But that does not actually need to conflict with RP-1. (I would not want to simply start with all the tech available, one would have to buy the rights of some instead of researching it for example.) As for the ISRU, I wrote some patches 2 years ago and Kerbalism adds some interesting stuff as well. The most difficult part here is getting the right numbers, chemistry is not my strongest point. I think the main problem for me will be Real Fuels, or rather other mods with their own fuel system. So far I've replaced the stock fuels in Mark4 and US2 with Kerosene, Hydrazine and LqdOxygen, I can probably add a few other fuels like MMH and NTO, but it does not seem possible/feasible to add all the different fuels and combinations that the Real Fuels engines need.
  17. The CKAN version seems to include modularflightintegrator in the download and lists itself as incompatible with modularflightintegrator, which is all good, but confusing for people who had modularflightintegrator installed separately.
  18. The goal is to create a real world semi realistic sci-fi mod collection with the focus on (but not limited to) achieving off world self sufficient bases. It will probably be in the form of a "mod" (Real Solar Fiction) containing patches to glue everything together, based on my old project SpaceBori’s resource patches. I am not a developer, nor a graphic designer and I don't want to do work that has already been done. So the project should not be so realistic that it becomes too complex. For now we'll have 2 forks.   19. I think that is what I was looking for, thanks! My next step would be to then change the amounts to match RF. I hoped I could just use some generic multiplier, but if that would be very difficult to combine with regular expressions I might be better off using your first suggestion. That worked btw! I just don't understand why my approach changed it into electric charge.
  20. @hemeac eventually I want to change all parts. I initially started with a config that searched for Liquidfuel, Oxidizer and Monopropellant and changed them all. When that didn't work I decided to start simple. But I'll try your suggestion first, and if that works I'll build on that. Thanks.
  21. I am trying to write RF configs for USII. I am not a developer and I am still learning MM. It however got replaced by Electric Charge instead (30 for single, 60 for double and no resources for triple and quad). Can you give me a clue where to look for a solution please?
  22. I am trying to figure out where to go for compatibility between RF and other mods. I read in this thread that in December 2014 support was added here for Nertea's Mark 4 spaceplane. But in my game it doesn't work for all MK4 parts. It seems RF changes all parts that use IFS, while some MK4 parts seem to use ModuleB9PartSwitch. Could that be the issue? And who would update that? Or where do I find a crash course so I can do it myself? (I've tried before and RF/MM breaks my brain) I have a similar issue with some US2 and Restock parts. Edit: With some fiddling around and copy/pasting I managed to replace ModuleB9PartSwitch with ModuleFuelTanks. I tried to compile it (on 1.10.1 and 1.9.1) and I get this error assembly/AssemblyInfoMFT.cs(20,28): error CS7034: The specified version string does not conform to the required format - major[.minor[.build[.revision]]] I am not a developer, I am not sure what I am doing and I do not know what that means.
  24. I understood (after googling for a long time) that RSS includes configs for RemoteTech to increase the range of the antennas. I however only found "DNS_Ranges.cfg" and it doesn't seem to do anything for me. Where should I look to find the correct configs?
