  1. Hmm, then let's say you only have merely fraction of a second to transmit your message, what method of information transmission would you use? Only information density is important here. I am thinking of a scifi story where FTL communication is made using enormous amount of energy to make microscopic wormhole with exceptionally short life span, and so the transmission process can only have a very small window to send the message. They can initiate it any time, but the energy cost makes it unpractical to send rapidly. So the most efficient way of communicating is packing as much information as possible per transmission. What method of communication would be best?
  2. What is the most information dense method of information streaming? As in, communicating by streaming information directly through whatever method like radio, lights and so on without relying on a information storage device like a usb.
  3. Assuming literal boots there, and not a person in those boots. Question. If you got a huge space farm going with a lot of cows, is it feasible to use bio gas they generate to generate power? In other words, can space farms run on cow farts?
  4. Pretty sure the govrrnment wont recognize your sign there as you do not own the space as well as not old enough to actually legally own the place. However, your parents are effectively the local government of the house. You can negotiate with them the terms and conditions regarding the entry of your room. If successful, they may also be the enforcer of your rules if other people, like siblings if you have any, disregard it.
  5. From http://www.techinsider.io/pioneering-women-who-changed-science-forever-2016-7 I thought I should share some of the little known female scientists who had contributed to our space endeavours. Sorry for a bunch of spoiler boxes, phone formatting is tough. Do you know any more female scientists in space related fields?
  6. People blame a Sweedish Viking Pirate Hacker Boat for the failure. XD
  7. I thought it was a tank burst, seeing a lot of LOX boil off during recovery.
  8. Ouch. They aren't going to space today. Great launch though.
  9. Seem like a ship is holding up the launch by entering the area. I saw Kryten post edited 4 hours ago and the rocket is still at go/no go stage.
  10. Maybe the Tunguska explosion was caused by a time machine!
  11. http://www.theverge.com/2016/7/22/12256986/nasa-mission-patch-iss-guardians-of-the-galaxy Yep, that is a real, official patch which they will use. I just wonder if Marvel is sponsoring a ton of money to NASA for their name on the patch.
  12. This is why you should install KAS/KIS mod, so you can slap on a parachute module in orbit by launching a rescue team up with extra parachutes. Though if you don't care about recovering the spacecraft, just send up a recovery craft to collect the crew and transfer the science over.
  13. I wonder if people can program a drone to do the pokemon hunting. Flying around, catching stuff. Also makes me wonder why that have not been done in pokemon world. Why going out to fight pokemon when you can have an army of bot just sweeping through collecting them all and sell them back to kids... I think I am a bit of a villian here
  14. I heard that as well, but I also heard that it is just because women are generally shorter than men, and an equally short man would have the same advantage.
  15. 1 engine = 1 boom Many engines = many booms. If you like booms booms you get more engines. Though you might get more booms than you intended to.
  16. So...uh, I hope this question is safe to ask, and if not, then I hope the mod removes it quickly: I noticed in the video the female pilots seem to handle high G really, really well compare to some male pilots, and a slight cursory research seems to not point one way or another about that (some say they are better, some say they are not, some say they are the same). Anyone with more experience in this field can comment about this?
  17. It looks like their face practically sunk in their skull. And this is just 7G. I wonder what astronauts looks like in their helmet during rocket launches. Also, G-loc is both hilarious and scary.
  18. What can we do with this thing? C2N14 - Azidoazide Azides. Any practical use at all?
  19. That seriously looks like some kerbal space plane mod parts.
  20. As PB666 has pointed out, electricpants continued from his own post. Rule 2 states that you cannot perform any operation again until another person has successfully perform an operation to change the current number. Vysionne did not made any valid change to the number, thus that post is nulled, and electricpants must wait till another person make a valid post. Another thing, I went back a few more pages and noticed PB66 did this: This is not the valid format for reporting, since combing through pages to find where an error has happen is difficult, and a quote of the offending post, even if the post is right above yours, brings it to our attention much faster. In any case though, posts after PB66 post above all goes wrong. Last valid post is below, please continue:
  21. Well, as a marketer, my brother figured that eventually they may have a program where they will release legendary pokemon at paid areas, like opening of a new mall or something, to lure a ton of people in. Even if people know that it is a marketing trick they will just still going there to "catch them all".
  22. Yeah, I messed it up. The JPL is a gym according to the articles (just google why astronauts can't play pokemon go in space), but the tweets are images from JSC.
