  1. Those that don't want to see anyone killed off on our instruction - let's group together and vote in a way to make everyone equal!
  2. Still possible they detect and deflect it. Better overkill than underkill. Smear them on Eve. Although that would likely only destroy their physical manifestation, and they could just move to another host a la Agent Smith.
  3. Likely they can scan the area around them as well as read the minds of people operating such a thing. Still, a large amount of energy coming in at appreciable speed is likely among the best way to kill a Kraken. Lasers would be even better.
  4. Shields. It's always shields. If I'm going to be a pan-dimensional memetic entity I'm sure going to reflexively wipe any small pieces of metal approaching me at high velocity from existence.
  5. Well, Deathly Hallows is kinda the one where everyone dies... but as fantasy goes it's not that dark. Embracement of death is kinda the main theme though...
  6. The hill contained no natural gas resources.
  7. Earthquakes don't generally change terrain much, but it did clean off those pesky dead bodies on my surface. I am the hill.
  8. Wait, how did we get from Kerbfleet to Ghostbusters? This is going equatorial orbit anti-normal very quickly. This is true, though. I'd suggest not Voting in order to protest the killing off of some character.
  9. Alright, you apparently-independently solved it (I'd confirmed @qzgy's answer earlier) and found the reference, so hats off to you! Same as with him, you get a pat on the back, two likes, and a namesake in my KSP save after I do something moderately useful.
  10. Well, the whole reason I was posting Gravity Falls references is because someone brought up Gravity Falls a few pages back, and the reason they brought it up is because they thought the Krakens were comparable in vileness to Bill Cipher, so it isn't much of a coincidence that a certain item pertaining to Bill is similar to a certain item pertaining to the Krakens. They are sure to occupy the same place in the insanity/creepiness spectrum.
  11. Incorrect. At least, I mean... Here's a hint, for all of you. I'm too lazy to crack the second one. I freely admit that I am biased in that these are just the authors that I happen to read. I did not intend any harm by not including anyone on that list. Sorry!
  12. I like that people are actually trying to crack it. At 24 hours, I'll give another hint.
  13. N.REUYTEEERNYOATMSIUTJAHHTTIRWETWSOAPETBNEEHITCRNAAEEFH,TYEKKSOOVTNSINIRNURTUHBTORTAEEMDONCASSALHLEAMFIYTTYIMVLATROGLNOEXHAW (24 hours to figure out why I chose that string of gibberish. Something to help you out:)
  14. Wait, wasn't the Annabel Lee the name of a ship in Emiko? Namesake, right, @Just Jim? Also, if this is fully canon, it would confirm that the Forgotten Space Program is in the same Multiverse as Kerbfleet and possibly Emiko Station. It was already stated by the Kerbfleet Monolith in Crossoverlude that Plan Kappa, Kerbfleet, Emiko, and Forgotten were connected. I say "fully canon" because in universe, these whispers could just be explained as random words, with the references just a reference on the part of the author. Also, lemme recap so far, to clear up some points I'm confused about: Each KSP version destroys Kerbin but leaves everything in space unscathed. To mitigate the effects of this, the Forgotten and Continuum space programs start up, Forgotten based in Laythe orbit and Continuum seeking to preserve information as much as possible. Then the "bug-filled" versions... devouring black squares, ravenous cockroaches, then a Communism-like cycle. These events were cast into doubt by Jonbald, accusing The Boss of making them up in space madness. Later, Jonbald admits that he himself is not what he seems and that at least some of the events are real. The Party Boss sends The Boss into space before (paradoxically quickly) appearing in space himself. I seem to recall something about the Party Boss not being real... too lazy to review everything, did anyone else catch that? One of the party members escapes, and meets The Boss. Then suddenly portals. I can't really seem to make a list of the anomalies surrounding the Communism cycle... can anyone help me on this? Was it ever mentioned that the Party Boss was not real or has disappeared?
  15. By which you mean having a couple of Kerbals that jump between universes, causing crossovers as they go? I've dreamed of running such a thing, but it'd be really hard, clash in so many ways, and involve marring these beautiful works with our ineptitude...
  16. I realize this... it's more of a "it'd be cool if this happened" than a "we're waiting for this to happen". Please understand that I am in no way expecting or pressuring you to actually do something like this. I realize it'd be really grueling on all the authors and be a real pain to coordinate. That being said, the fact that your kerbals have no concept of war doesn't prevent them from having interesting interactions with a parallel species that does... just look at @Kuzzter's A Jool Odyssey and the Kerbulans.
  17. Thank you for sending me on a five-hour journey through the plot summaries of Gravity Falls in order to find out just how awful Mr. Cipher actually is.
  18. Wait, wait wait... What? Only hit I could get on Google for "Iktomi" was a Lakota trickster god... is that it?
  19. Hum... you're right, LFO needs much more infrastructure... but inevitably the rocket equation will come collect its due. I mean, just keep them out of the cupolas for most of the trip. Less mass is better! Look forward to watching! Ooh, any tips regarding my less-than-recommended dive into the deep end of modded KSP? How to survive/thrive in Kerbalism?
  20. For NaNoWriMo, I actually tried to write a book about two characters who realize they are in a book, and use cliches to better the world around them. I did a whole spiel about how maybe fictional realities are just as real as we are, and how much we've hurt the inhabitants of those realities, if they exist.
  21. Any particular reason why you're forgoing ~100 seconds of ISP by using monoprop rather than, say, a terrier? Finer control? That looks like a medium sized ship, suitable for a terrier. Or do you have some mod that adds better monoprop engines? Shame on you, they're going to get irradiated every time they look out the window... get into Duna's magnetosphere as soon as possible I guess. Don't worry! If it fails, it will fail in utterly spectacular fashion and we're all going to be here laughing at you as your kerbals die due to your ineptitude! [/sarcasm] Seriously, though, you're doing a great job.
