  1. Oooh. You bring science (and re-entry heat) into it and I'll start playing it instead of just sitting on my early release. I've never been one for just pottering about the solar system just because... I like having something to DO when I get there.
  2. Never heard of a NET date. Neither has google. Please explain.
  3. Great news, thanks Nate. Re: the hand wringing... I for one am really grateful for the heads up as I know many other players are. Of course there'll always be the few who will say "aww but you PROMISED..." if the date slips, but they'll complain no matter what happens so ignore them. The vast majority of us understand that the E in ETA means "estimated".
  4. Thanks... but I tried it a week or so ago and got no joy. Will have another go tonight to check. *edit* OK that's weird... I tried it again and this time it worked. All the various loading images are stretched, but the game itself is fine. Goodo.
  5. I believe this is intended... Kerbals now have magnetic boots.
  6. Windows 11, Ryzen 9 5900HX, 16GB, RTX3070, KSP2 v0.1.0.0.20892 If you're in timewarp when you plant a flag the Kerbal's animation is at timewarp speed, but the flag animation is at normal speed.
  7. Yep, had this too after loading a quicksave. Had to guess how to de-orbit the mun... and when I got it right the SOI concentric circles appeared but still no orbit lines. Also no AP/PE markers etc.
  8. Same thing happened to Matt Lowne, he has a video of it on YT.
  9. Windows 11, Ryzen 9 5900HX, 16GB, RTX3070, KSP2 v0.1.0.0.20892 As above... frequently when a Kerbal EVA's you get a notification that "The vessel has no fuel and cannot manoeuvre.
  10. Windows 11, Ryzen 9 5900HX, 16GB, RTX3070, KSP2 v0.1.0.0.20892 If you try to board a capsule that doesn't have a spare seat it doesn't notify you, it just has the Kerbal let go and float away. Also sometimes even if there's a spare seat pressing B to board does nothing and requires a quit and restart.
  11. I use a laptop (Asus ROG GS533, Ryzen 9 5900HX, 16GB RAM, RTX3070) running Windows 11. Current KSP2 build is 0.1.0.0.20892. The laptop's built in screen is a 15" 1920x1080/1080P, but most of the time I have an external widescreen monitor plugged into it with a 2560 x 1080/1440P resolution. When I am using the external monitor the internal one is disabled, however the game does not offer me the 2560x1080 resolution. It only offers me 1920x1080, 1900x900, and 1280x720. It doesn't matter if I set it to windowed, borderless, or fullscreen... the only change between borderless and fullscreen is that in fullscreen the image is stretched to full width, and in borderless I get a 1920x1080 image with black bars either side. I tried manually editting the settings file Settings.json to change the resolution to 2560x1080 but this also did not work. It runs as expected if I disconnect the external monitor and use the built in one.
  12. Manually adding it. (And as an aside... I just landed on Duna for the first time. Yay! )
  13. Hey all. Apologies if this has been dealt with previously... I'm using KAC to schedule a transfer window Kerbin - Duna... and after I create the alarm and go back to it It shows the message "No TWP Phase and Eject Angle found in notes"... and I can't seem to find a way to enter any such notes. What am I doing wrong with this?
  14. I've just reinstalled Stage Recovery (been away playing something else for a few months) manually (it doesn't appear as compatible in CKAN) and it doesn't appear to be working with 1.9.1. At least I don't get the icon for it in the VAB. Module Manager did ask if I wanted it to keep an eye open for updates though, and it doesn't report as being incompatible.
  15. Heya... you may STILL want to edit the ReadMe file coz it's still saying not to copy CONFIG.XML over... three years later. INSTALLATION ******************* NOTE ******************* NOTE ******************* NOTE ******************* IF YOU WANT TO MAINTAIN YOUR SETTINGS DO NOT COPY THE CONFIG.XML FILE OVER ******************* NOTE ******************* NOTE ******************* NOTE *******************
  16. Hi again all Quick question for the knowledgable... when you "lock" robotics parts such as hinges, pistons, and servos does it make them more rigid (ie: less floppy) or does it simply prevent them from being activated?
  17. Hi all. This is my first post and I'm somewhat of a noob to KSP, having only been playing it for a few weeks. Nice to meet you all. I've done a bit of a search and can't find an answer to my question, so please forgive me if it's covered somewhere. Apologies also if this is in the wrong area. I have a nasty habit of accidentally hitting Z while landing instead of left-shift which sends me rocketing (pun intended) back into space when I was about to touch down - very frustrating. Even if I don't do that, hitting X to kill the throttle doesn't always seem to work immediately making it hard to "blip" the throttle reliably. I was wondering if there was some way of temporarily making Z into a "momentary full throttle" instead of a "hold full throttle" and perhaps setting the regular "hold full throttle" button to Alt-Z, or having Z set to momentary when using precision controls, or something? Matt
