  1. The phishing that was blocked made me wonder why it is here. Comparing Parallax2 to KSP2? Mods can go where games can't as they can be more specialized. Personally will not use it as all my rovers would need to be redesigned and long journeys would be quite tedious.
  2. Why is Parallax 2 in the KSP2 forum? And why did AVG block a phishing attempt?
  3. Don't remember exactly, but it was 2 of them and they got a lot of science. Then of course I found out they didn't have fuel to return. After I got the 3 crew capsule Val rescued them.
  4. Too complicated. If you are going to do all that, then just use rockets. You are using too many Rapiers anyway. You could put a MK3 into orbit with 6 Rapiers.
  5. Is your objective to build Rapier only spaceplanes? That is pretty inefficient once in orbit. NERVs are way better once you get up there.
  6. Land it? Like any other big rocket. Those are the biggest things I've launched. A launcher. This one is on its way to Ike. A small one landing on the Mun. and landed Transfer fuel and decouple and it is ready to roll.
  7. I have the DLC. Dunno if it helps in this case, but. The claw on the nose works and transfers fuel just fine. The can't be seen in that screenie but there are fuel lines as well and they also work. Sometimes.......... More recently I have gone back to KIS/KAS and running fuel lines with that. That rover is an old and much modified one.
  8. I'm a lousy pilot so I built gas trucks. After the plane lands they drive over to it and refuel it.
  9. For me it is about staging with the NERVs in the 1st stage.
  10. I used to have that bug but do not have it now. I totally replaced everything over time and I suspect it was the OS change that made the difference. Currently on a newer version of win10.
  11. Eh? They are fun to land to me. Beats the heck out of just dropping a capsule into the atmosphere and hoping it lands ok. In vacuum they are just heavy rockets with weak engines.

  13. Can't make any suggestions, but KSP feels too empty and needs more backstory.
  14. I built a rover and delivered it to Duna. It was only when I was well on my way to the North pole that I discovered that I had not assigned some action groups to it. Is there any way to correct this in the field?
  15. Landed at Ike and got my closest landing ever. Now it's only a matter of time until I land on top of something.
  16. I tried some of these things and it looks better. Loading times are slightly better too, but I don't have many mods.
  17. There is no such thing as "absolutely safe" in KSP. This game is all about experimentation. You take the time to build lots of rockets, so take the time when building your rovers so they work well. As for that video, you took a rover that needed repairs and then added a lot of stuff to it. This made it have a high center of gravity so it flips easily. Then you tried to mess with the wheels without lifting them off the ground first. Much hilarity ensued. I use hinges to lift a rover that needs work off the ground to prevent flipping.
  18. About rovers, play with friction control and traction control to get a reasonable balance that keeps it from sliding while stopped and still lets it do fun stuff without flipping. Sometimes it only takes a little bit of friction to let the rover work well.
  19. Like Shadowzone said, how about mods to fix disappearing nodes?
  20. Been away for a while. It turns out that it is indeed a setting in scatterer. Go into steam->steamapps->common->Kerbal Space Program->GameData->Scatterer->config->Planets->Kerbin. There you will find atmo.cfg. Open it and look for "adjustScaledTexture". Change it from "True" to "False" and save. This fixed it for me.
  21. Hi! I've been away for a while and just got back. I have gone into steam->steamapps->common->Kerbal space Program->GameData->Scatterer->config->Planets->Kerbin and found the atmo.cfg and ocean.cfg. In atmo.cfg I found "adjustscaledTexture" and set it to "False". It is not in ocean.cfg. so after that one change I saved and started KSP and the problem is solved! As a humble end user I have never touched any of the settings before and am now wondering why it is set to "True" in the first place. This has been bothering me for well over a year now.
  22. The anomaly I tried to picture is a line running from pole to pole where the graphics do not quite match up. Here is a closer look at it.
  23. Black bars all over the ground? That is a known issue and there are fixes for it. Unmodded, there is someone on the Steam forum who knows how to fix it. Modded, install Scatterer and Waterfall. It looks better and the black bars are gone.
