  1. Idk, maybe where the colors people don't like are now? I think that the suit should have a theme based on the destination though.
  2. That's what it is. It will be the same suit, just with colored stripes.
  3. Can you send me a visual? I'm not quite sure I understand what you're describing.
  4. You're right about that. The kid shows are bad but sometimes the science in movies can be an immersion killer, especially were special effects are lacking.
  5. Oh, silly me. I knew it was too good to be true! (We really need a facepalm emoticon.)
  6. Get mechjeb. Also, Jool is a lot easier to get to than Duna because it's sphere of influence is much larger. If you don't want to use mechjeb this is an excellent guide (remember to do all burns with maneuver nodes.) I hope Laythe gets picked because it was already gorgeous in spectra, and the revamp makes it ten times better. Also transporting 30 modules differing size and weight to Laythe is no mean feat. If people who know how to get to Laythe did it themselves it would probably be a lot easier since the person who builds the tug will only have to transfer 8-10 modules (assumption, probably wrong.) It would also be helpful for people who can't get to the destination to make their modules attachable in a linear fashion (docking port on front and back, one can be detached for final assembly, maybe also attaching the jettisoned docking port to a large part like a fairing base and strutting the module to that (screenshots will be provided tomorrow.) However, as you can see by this rapidly rising wall of text, the variations from module to module almost necessitate people to transport it individually, either manually or mechjeb.
  7. Or you could use said crappy srb's to fling it to escape velocity Danny2462 style. Wait a sec. Can't co2 be use as oxidizer, because if it can poo starship is official. Actually, with this method how many astronauts would it take to run 1 raptor engine?
  8. Ok, so I assume this is impossible because it's never been done... But it would be really awesome if it could be made. What I want is a mod that allows me to disable eve in the fly, without removing it and restarting my game. I play with a lot of mods and a long list of mods means long load times. That is why this mod would be so useful, I could launch from Kerbin and transfer to Eve, get captured in orbit, circularize etc. But when it's time to land I press a button and the clouds magically disappear (or even better become 99% transparent.) What would be even cooler is if it had to be researched in science/career mode. You would start without it of course. Next you would gain the ability to gain it only in the map view, as an added benefit to orbital survey. Finally you would unlock the ability to disable clouds in flight (good probe core required.) Like I said, this is 99% likely to be impossible, but it's fun to dream about it.

  10. In terms of ascent profile no. Th best ascent profile would be to reach escape velocity going straight up, then turn in ~120 degrees around and burn till you have a periapsis outside the atmosphere. A pile of vector engines would do this the best, and would fit in my rules. Banning this would get back to the original problem of where we draw the line.
  11. Maybe we could just have rules rather than using vague words and lines. My idea is: Kerbal g force limits on. Must be kerballed. No exploits that don't fit within the spirit of the challenge (decouplers, aerodynamic exploits, phantom colliders, sepatrons.) Uncut video footage required as proof.
  12. Could you tell us what your velocity is at 84 km for craft a and b?
