What is the rationale behind playing completely stock?

Is all that data not a massive balance change? That's the reason why it hasn't been added yet... -
What is the rationale behind playing completely stock?
Linear replied to falloutaddict's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think that's the real defining attitude. Some people believe the stock game forces you to be more thoughtful and creative, whereas other believe it can be limiting, boring and easy after a while. E: Of course, neither is 'right' :-) -
Worsening KSP performance.

You said that everyone hates schools and that all teachers are morons. Perhaps you'll get to study for a PhD one day, and you'll look back and think about what you just said on a forum that encourages education - no matter what kind of situation you're dealing with. Also, it's awkward to flout your education on the forum, it rarely works... -
I'd find a fridge.

Makes me sick what those ebay shops charge for such poor components. Do research, build your own. i5 (i3) 8GB of RAM (don't bother with less, KSP will realistically use 2.5 on its own without mods) Integrated graphics will work but you want to be looking at a GTX 750+ (730 is good for less)

What is the rationale behind playing completely stock?
Linear replied to falloutaddict's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Stock game is pretty limiting, it hasn't really changed for an incredibly long time. Introduction of career was not challenging and further iterations just made it more grindy. Additions of more mechanics and parts are needed. -
That is still pretty fast. Like, really fast....But that's in today's terms. Within 100 years i'd be sad if that's all we can do.

Large LV-N, Propellers would be nice and robotics. -
You post some drivel sometimes. A game isn't defined by that, and if someone enjoys building a ship while letting an autopilot do the hard/monotonous bits - then it's hard to argue they're not enjoying playing a game.

How efficient is your Minmus mining operation? Share your pics

Will post some pics of mine after I attempt some Lithodocking with my awful piloting skills! E: Gauges caused a OOM CTD. Oops. -
A plain, straight-up SLS launch would be at least $500m

And there'd be a large lag spike, odd cloud affects and some random falling debris. Then explosions.
