  1. this is a test

    this has been a test

  2. This relates to the AN-225's story. In the beginning, the AN-225 was designed as a heavy lift vehicle with the Buran and its Energia boosters in mind. It was meant to take the whole Energia-Buran system from one place to the next. Unfortunately, we all saw how the Buran program ended. The AN-225 had no practical use. It sat for eight years, gathering dust and on-ground hours, before someone realized "hey wait, we could use something like this!". So, the government had it repaired and refurbished, and now, the AN-225 is one of the greatest planes known to mankind, being able to haul very large cargo, at an extremely fast (comparatively) rate. Unfortunately, that's where the Buran and the Mirya's stories differ: the AN-225 has a practical application.
  3. Permission Granted. Continue with your business... I'd just like to say that wow has it been a long time since I've been here. Wow has it been a long time since I've played KSP. Years, in fact.
  4. Zekes, you never fail to succeed in bringing a smile to my face. But, I bet your computer hates you for that battleship. Also, Ratte
  5. I assume it doesn't fly in the atmosphere, based on the flaps on the back, but it's still awesome. A bit of constructive criticism: perhaps replace the little flaps on the wings with pylons (the ones that detatch), and then mount the little flaps on it. It looks like the swordfish has longer side panels (on the wings), so perhaps that would work. On a completely different note, wow, I did not expect to have this thread reach this size! Keep the crafts coming, guys!
  6. *sigh* My posts are broken. No more Eurostile for me. Very sad. But, of course, I'm too lazy to fix it. Oh well. Also, if we can do requests... Here's the first version. Here's a group shot. And here's one for Jeb. Based on this vehicle, the Oshkosh HEMTT.
  7. Just when everyone was starting to like him too! (I mean Rozer.)
  8. You hit my weak spot! I'm from Seattle! Also, does anyone other than me think that it kind of looks like a Learjet? Also, the panther looks awesome! Those missiles remind me of the TOW missiles used on the Bradley. Perhaps I have to make a Bradley replica now...
  9. Hey, just so you know, you put a space there, so here's what it would look like fixed: Also, the rover is cute
  10. Not to be that guy, but Spoilers are fixed guys. So please, if you have large amounts of images, put them in spoilers. On the other hand, those probes are pretty good! Also, yay! Someone other than me went to Dres!
  11. Let's see if I can do this... Gah! Does anyone know how to embed an imgur album? I don't know how to. Nevermind, I figured it out. But, in other news, here's the edits you wanted, plus some action shots!
  12. Semi-completely unrelated to the story... Hey KSK, Ornie's truck doesn't happen to look anything like a millitary truck, does it? Because I have something that I think might fit the job...
  13. :blush:Well... um... you see... Crap, I'll say it. You officially have me embarassed. I hate to admit defeat, especially in my own thread... Well, even experienced users of anything can learn something, plus a serving in not being stupid. So, I guess I'll have to take my grumbling somewhere else. *Takes grumbling somewhere else*
  14. So, the comment here is to reply to the fact that spoilers work again? EXCELLENT! Also, I agree, this is great to hear! We're all watching and waiting eagerly for the next update! But, that said, no pressure
  15. Nice Eorin! But, there's one crucial point that I'm bothered about: The Blackbird is the SR-71, not the YF-12, which, because I'm lazy and won't look, for all I know, isn't nicknamed. Another way you can determine that the YF-12 is different from the blackbird is because the A-12 came between the two, and it was nicknamed Oxcart. So, in summary, the SR-71 and YF-12 are completely different apart from their stats and looks (so basically not at all ). Not to mention the fact the YF-12 (later A-12) was meant as an interceptor... But, in a completely unrelated note, I am editing the first post to modernize: since quite a few of us are too lazy to look on individual threads (I can think of quite a few people, like me!), I am doing a double edit to the master post: changing font to Eurostile (that's the font this is in), and also putting a request for a link to a dropbox or spaceport or mediafire link to the craft file. Also, probably putting in a few more details for everything, and after that... Who knows, maybe I'll finally get around to making that Stryker and making an M1 Abrams to go along with my HEMTT. Perhaps then I can finally live my dream of being able to safely drive a convoy of millitary trucks... *sigh* But, alas, my procrastination will keep me from doing any of that, so, until I get therapy or something, have fun posting!
  16. Just keep trying for the mid air refuelling... Perhaps I could institute a challenge for it? It is achieveable, but I wonder if someone could... Alright, I don't think my computer could handle it, but I'm going to create a Stryker instead, so if anyone knows any good tank cannon mods...
  17. So, a few things, 1.) That replica is actually really good! For a first, anyway... See the first post in the thread if you want to see my first... it was pretty ugly... And if it is truly a first, I would love to see more! 2.)There are a few cheeky tactics that you could use to put that command module into an adapter so that it looked more like the real thing. 3.)Don't apologize for your english, it was quite good! Better than quite a few english-speaking users of the internet... All in all, nothing but compliments here! Also, noticed it was your first post anywhere here, so why don't you introduce yourself? Pre-emptively, welcome to the forums! Happy browsing!
  18. Have best idea: Kangaroo mech, Where kerbal fits in a seat... In the pouch... I would do it, but I'm not sure my computer would be able to handle it.
  19. So here's a craft I whipped up, out of love for the Oshkosh HEMTT. Top speed about 21 m/s, but it loves to tip over at that speed, so I wouldn't reccomend it. If you don't know what the HEMTT is, here's what I based it on: And here's a link to the Wikipedia page for the HEMTT And, just for stupidity's sake, I added a feature Jeb would be proud of: ATTACK! Successful hit! Range on those missiles is about 3.2km. Spread over about 100 meters when hitting the ground. Gotta love big millitary trucks
  20. So, it's a St. Patrick's day themed fan-works challenge. I am going to tell a story. So, in my campaign game, I am getting along quite well, and the second aircraft I have designed and saved is this: This is the K-2 Wyoming, named so because of it's Y-shaped wings. Before it looked like that, however, it looked like this: Notice how it doesn't have front winglets, unlike the version above.. So this version has problems taking off, as it has a balanced center of lift and center of mass, but it has no forward torque, meaning it can't take off before the end of the runway, depite reaching ~180m/s at the end. So, being semi-observant, I add the front winglets, and put Jeb in the hot seat, letting him test it. So, now it's on the runway, and I'm ready to take off. Before I continue, let me explain something: my graphics card is not meant for KSP. It can run KSP, but not very well. The computer is a basic Gateway desktop from 2007. It has an NVidia 315 graphics card (not sure if integrated or not...). It takes four normal seconds to pass a regular game second while launching a rocket or taking off. So on this takeoff, I decide to be stupid, and start testing the flaps and such at 100(+ or - 20) m/s. With phys warp at 2 or 3x speed. So while I'm doing this, I test the roll, which is very sensitive while in phys warp, especially without precision controls on (as any normal player knows). I roll it over, and accidentally tear off the wings on 1 side, removing all but the winglets on the front and back of the craft, and the little tailplane you see in the main wing section. So, now I'm rolled over, with SAS holding me at the roll, 3x phys warp on, and with Jebediah in the pilot's chair. So, without thinking, or turning off phys warp, I lean the craft back over, but lean it over too much, tearing off the wings in a symmetrical manner to the other side. So now the craft looks like this: I'm almost 2/3 down the runway, and I decide to be really stupid, since the plane is nearly at full speed, and try taking off. So here's where the St. Patrick's day theme kicks in: I guess Jeb got really lucky, because the thing decides to fly. And not only does it fly, but I suspect it flies better than the original K-2, even with the winglets on the front. Seriously, Luck of the Irish, Stupidity of the Me. So now I have something that is ridiculous, and I have no idea what to do with it. KSP physics is OP. Happy St. Patty's day, guys.
  21. You're too kind! Honestly, if I didn't make it, there were several others whose threads got integrated into this one. One of those would've come along. That V-22. The only reason I hate the V-22 is because it replaced the CH-46. But, I do apreciate the work behind such a peice of art. Though, did you know that the POTUS is not allowed to fly in the Osprey? Too dangerous. Love it. It is fat though. Wish my computer could run KSP with B9. So sad.
  22. Whoa, that is one sick looking B-2! I haven't seen many people doing the bombers much, though. Nice to see one, y'know?
  23. Now is a tough time, and even a simple explanation would be more than expected from you, Czok. But, that being said, seeing the story continue is something we all wanted to see, and the fact that it is is better than I thought. Though, if things start to get worse, I believe I stand for all of us readers here, in saying "Don't worry about us! Worry about yourself and those directly around you!" Semi-graceful words from a not so graceful person
