  1. Just found that Ampyear lets SAS help with turning, so I'm gonna use that.
  2. Is there a way to improve the controllability of a spacecraft without using RCS thrusters to turn? I know SAS(unrealistically) can only be used to stabilize, not control(correct me if I'm wrong).
  3. I am using the nosecone avionics. I'll try moving the control surfaces vertically, but it doesn't look like porpoising so much as rapid overcorrection.
  4. When I try to use SAS/ASAS on a spaceplane(or rocket with control surfaces), the craft bounces and shakes in a semi-controlled manner. I'm using FAR. Any tips?

  6. I figured out the no-gui problem. I had placed the files in the plugins and parts folders, rather than putting the ISA folder in GameData.

  10. I added fins to the bottom of my rocket, and it works good using the pitch over at 60 m/s method. I appreciate your help, and I do have a couple more questions. How far should I pitch over? Is there a way to find my terminal velocity?
  11. Ferram, What's the best way to find terminal velocity with FAR? Also, with FAR installed, I keep losing control of my rockets during the gravity turn at 10k. Any ideas?
  12. After installing FAR, KER has the wrong terminal velocity, but the right altitude. It gives me a terminal velocity of 2.239 km/s on the pad at KSC.
