  1. completely agree tree structure is fine for linear stuff but isnt for any more complex things. is this topic old or not, take my +1
  2. u are "rediculous". i dont know what is it but sure. they dont owe the players, they will slap their own face. the casual buyers will not care of 1.1 or possible releases, they will care of what they buy. just like egosoft fkd up their entire future, squad will, too. never heard of that many refund request on steam thatn against them... and no, ppl were not complaining about bugs, the were complaining about content. now squad does the same as they did. dont listen to the existing loyal community, so they dig their own grave. the casuals are far less forgiving
  3. well, they are garage developers so they act like ones...
  4. yeah, it need some iq to try to defend ur little pet. failed. it simply means why would i write down anything when all of them are already posted in these topics... and not that everything should be added
  5. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/forums/59-Suggestions-and-Development-Discussion
  6. the problem is with this in my view is that your "house" has no roof, the door is buggy and the window isnt transparent. this is the state of ksp. and they call it 1.0
  7. sorry to disappoint you but this is simply beyond their abilities...
  8. nope, i've said this "make them rigid (kinematic) until it gets a strong physical hit"... kinematic means no gravity, no movement but it still has collision. it acts like a rock. a big one. you cant make it move, you can hit it and bounce off of it. if the hit is strong enough, set the rigidbody back to non-kinematic and run the physics on each part like on normal crafts... now that im thinking i might will try to make it once i will have a couple of free days. i dont know if its possible in ksp but i will give it a try...
  9. unity will not write ksp instead of squad they just provide the tool ksp can still suck
  10. why would? if you dont know how physics works...? ehhh. kinematic objects works like rocks. they are there az phyisical objects, can be hit but they will not move or break. if something hit it, it will bounce down, but they count only as 1 single object, and calculations are made on it like on 1 single object...
  11. rendering doesnt need physics. i agree with op, there should be the option to anchor "buildings" on surfaces and then make them rigid (kinematic) until it gets a strong physical hit. if it gets a strong hit, set the parts back to non-kinematic and run the physics on it. the "strong hit" should set as the "weakest link". it would greatly reduce the calculations... (shouldnt include surface mounted objects like solarpanels, lights etc)
  12. would be the biggest fail of history ksp2? not going to happen i feel like op. this game HAD such a potencial but the development stopped somewhere around .16. they have added some spreadheets and included some mods into the stock installer (sadly not the best pieces) but thats it.
  13. just one example http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=352790 although they didnt call it roadmap, it was. i think this should be the minimum... it can change, its not in stone but still something to show up as a guide
  14. unity 5 will support gpu based physx "The new Cloth component supports the GPU via CUDA internally, but we’ve decided to release this later in the 5.x cycle", but when and what way...
  15. i think the modders didnt give their work free and its beyond squads abilities to implement without breaking the code just use the mods
  16. there can be 2 causes low electricity (it takes a lot and need batteries to run) rocket engine on the craft (it works with wheeled or rcs propelled crafts only)
  17. yes, as i wrote the improvement is cpu based so the graphics card doesnt matter. an nvidia card just gives even more extra
  18. first, unity is probably the only one doesnt restrict mapsize unlike others, second, unity is simple and have probably the most active community because of the near fully functional free version, third, probably the cheapest commercial engine. it actually requires very little programming to make things working, it would need more to make it work properly... a custom engine is far far far over squads abilities.
  19. or they simply dont have the ability and the time to spend on a garageproject so they will solve it with a single part which produce fuel on a click... i could do in 30 min. that will be the next patch?
  20. it does very much if it is "statement". if he would say "in my opinion the stock game is great and i enjoy it", its alright, my opinion wouldnt invalidate it, if he say the poo is edible, well, my opposing opinion WILL invalidate it and reduce it as his personal opinion. the stock game is unplayable for most, thats why the big gamechanging mods have huge numbers in their download stats.
  21. im already working with unity 5 and i can say itsatrap... itsamagic... physics can be 7 times faster so nvidia has done some real good job with Physix (and its just the cpu level physics, those have cuda compatible nvidia cards can gain even more) so if squad doesnt mess up something you will be able to enjoy HUGEHUGEHUGE rockets after they upgrade to u5. also the 64bit seems to be fully stable so yeah ram limit is gone. on the other hand it will not solve the multithreading of ksp, its still a work squad has to do, i dont know how far they are in it and the audio/lightnings and particles will still hit the gpu-s and can make everything a lagfest even on the strongest pc-s. with u5, there will be no "but its unity" excuse for squad...
  22. i see u like to talk bs grat do you know how businesses work yeah? you start doing something, you start selling it, then if you make your early buyers happy you can sell more and if you will have an other project you will have early buyers again. if you do crap and make your early buyers fools everybody will know it and u suck. now i guess as squad is an amateur garageteam they dont care about the future however there is a great money in the game industry. there is a good example egosoft, they have ruined their future as developers, they were talking the exact same crap you do. they told they cant rely on their few thousands of fans, they have to streamline things and aim a bigger public. there was 30000 preorder on their last game, today nobody plays but a few hundred and the worst is that nobody is buying it, not even at halfprice... yeah, you are right, squad might has no obligations, we were the stupid to buy assuming it will be a proper game, but there is only one way to stay in the business, please ur fans... ohhh, and dont make up numbers saying 99% vs 1%. it can easily be the opposite way
  23. sadly i dont think its possible to transmit from a vessel not actually loaded but i will try once i will have time
  24. if they would have the resources to do such things i would like them to rather add valuable elements
