I would hardly call Lockheed martin a multi national defence co operation which sits at around top of one of the biggest company's in the world "unknown" I also dont think such a company would risk its reputation on unfounded claims do you? Also if any company is going to come out with "revolutionary design" it will be a multi billion doller company that specialises in R&D and has some of the best minds in the world working for it as well as some of the most advanced equipment and facilities. Sitting on not only trade secrets but especially defence secrets, especially ones that would cause such a huge technological shift is hardly new to such company's? Especial such a company used to secrets and keeping things classified.

Id like to see Space X and the Dream chaser. See Boeing and Lockheed monopoly on the space industry start to collapse. But politics being politics the monkeys in suites sitting in congress will pick bowing as the one of the ones to go ahead.

The big problem still would be a catastrophic failure on launch. Granted Nuclear bombs are not as bad as nuclear reactors if breached and wont melt down but a failed launch would mean hundreds of nukes falling down. Which granted wont exactly be going off as they would not have been detonated but the cases could break. That be negated by launching out at sea. If it fails and the nukes come tumbling back down then 2000 + m under the seas not likely to have much effect, we have put worse in the ocean. But there are defence concerns as what if a less than friendlily group recover one of the nukes ect

I really like this mod but I dont know if Im missing anything. Using KSP 64x Using the experimental version Deleted all mods and reinstalled KSP and KSI from scratch. But still not working. Some engines in the VAB seem to be activated and they fall off the craft on the launch pad. Same with the reactors they fall straight through the craft.

Clean install and then reinstalled KSI and still getting the same bug with the thermal rockets.

I beg to differ. A scientific barrier due to the laws of physics means you cant do something full stop. A political barrier is a human imposed barrier that can be changed. Again id beg to differ. Nope im not confused. Certainly not mixing NERVA and Orion up here. When it became clear that fallout may be a issue they actually considered launching to orbit. Even Von Braun was brought in. Remember is was a scientific dead end just a political one. Scientifically the consensus was that likely it would have worked.
