I love this mod! I hope it works with the newly released v0.90, too!

Congratulations all! And esp. Felipe. But please take a break! You're getting married, we can wait a bit. -
Devnote Tuesdays: The "Already Lining up for Black Friday" Edition
nohelmet replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Thank you so much for this good answer! I was thinking about that too, but now I understand why it makes sense to wait for that one. Besides, I'm still voting for map screen improvements before those. Thank you for all the progress! I'm looking forward to every update. -
Cool! I was totally expecting him to blow up.
-
Sure it would be nice, but I'd rather Squad focus on other things first like fixing bugs or adding things to explore on the planets and moons.

Like the majority, I will wait until I can upload a craft file. Even beyond that, what I'm looking forward to its a "screenshot" button that exports a 3D scene that I can them embed in a forum post, fully rotatable and zoomable! Now that would be awesome. That said, this whole thing is because one coder made and shared an importer for Blender? Hats off to them, that's really cool!

Well done! That was a fun jump!

This sounds great! I love the idea! ... does the plugin happen to be already available for download?

YouTube says the video is not available on mobile. This makes me sad. Please don't feature videos with such restrictions.

Destructible buildings! Awesome! That's a great feature, it's going to make my failures even more catastrophic! I might have to revisit my current "drop tanks under me before gravity turn" approach...
-
This looks really awesome! Too bad it only works on Windows. Windows guys, enjoy!

The Career-motivator -- The SCIENCE System
nohelmet replied to SkyRex94's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I like what you are suggesting. Theycould be missions, too - these are fun things to do, varied, and they match stuff we'd do anyways. -
Max Reveals *Most* of the 0.25 Grand Plan
nohelmet replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
This all sounds wonderful, I'm looking forward to the update! And I like the idea of a gameplay-discoverable surprise, too! -
OK, so I read the description but I still have no idea what this is for. It's a part I can put other parts in. OK. But why would I do that? Is this all just for roleplaying, so I can pretend to replace computer parts?

"just a bug" - ha! Famous last words. That's like saying "it's just a murder! How hard can it be to solve it?"

Here's Your First Look at Kerbal Space Program: First Contract
nohelmet replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Looks good! I haven't played career yet, but I really like the idea of the contracts. Perhaps someone will then be able to build the mod for Space Wine Industries! I agree with the other commenters, though, about the rocket price lining up with the available funds. I was bothered that they didn't align, made it unnecessarily difficult to see what fraction of the funds are spent. -
Haha, that's an awesome name! The one I suggested is: Kerbal Space Program: Career Advancement Edit: "No more free launch" is hilarious too!

A new way of looking at Asparagus staging?
nohelmet replied to GoSlash27's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I tried exactly that and found that I had better results with higher -TWR boosters. My understanding is that even though those "self-supporting tanks" do not exert downwards force, their mass still adds to the inertia and makes it hard for the center rocket to accelerate fast enough. So we end up going pretty slowly and spending a lot of time (and fuel) getting up. -
The Official Kerbin Cup Tournament Thread - Final Entries Posted
nohelmet replied to Rowsdower's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think it should count, because they did get a craft. The rule didn't specify that we couldn't show interesting orbits around that craft. Plus, it's original. -
The Official Kerbin Cup Tournament Thread - Final Entries Posted
nohelmet replied to Rowsdower's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Wow! I looked at the entries, and I'm really impressed! There is so much good stuff in there! Congratulations everyone! -
Oh yes, sounds great! We can have beer, rum, whiskey... Oh, perhaps for some drinks you have to do a really fast, hot reentry!

I have a crazy idea for a mod, but probably not enough time to make it... still, it's fun to think about, and I'm curious as to what you guys will think. "Space Wine Industries" would add one new part, which might look something like this: The idea is that you take wine to space to turn it into "space wine", and grow your winery's reputation! There would be all sorts of different wines you can make: "orbit wine" (take the wine up for a spin around Kerbal), "Mun wine" (land it on the Mun) and so on, up to "grand tour wine"! To add to the challenge, the wine is a bit fragile so you have to be extra careful when you land back. Those missions would add to your winery's reputation (different from the upcoming money/reputation system, so it doesn't interfere), and we would keep track of all the different kind of wines you've made. Wouldn't this be fun? Perhaps if we get together, we can make the idea even more awesome and (who knows) actually build something like it!
