  1. You can try asking on a programmer's website (like eg stackoverflow.com). But make sure to indicate which language you're using, show what you've tried, and be more specific in what you're trying to do.
  2. Cool new polish, that's great! I'm excited for 1.05. I'm glad the steam controllers are getting some love, too. I like the turbine, I think it looks great! And it makes sense that a jet isn't just the nozzle. Then again I focus on rockets anyways.
  3. I'd like to see mod that gives me a big red button. Push it, and there's a big asteroid on a collision course for Kerbin and you have to save the world. Something bad happens if you don't.
  4. First off, awesome plugin, congratulations and thank you! And perhaps a bit of a newbie question, but... what is "timeToTransition1"? I was hoping it was time to maneuver node but either there's a bug in my code, or it's something else. I tried searching for the answer but only got a pointer to the API page I got it from in the first place.
  5. You can transfer fuel and crew. For fuel, right-click on a tank (it'll show how much is in there), and alt right-click on another. You'll get in/out buttons to transfer the fuel. This also works in a single vessel, if you have more than one tank. Crew's again the same as in a single vessel. Click on the hatch, select "transfer", click where you want them to go. Electricity's also shared, if you have enough panels/RTGs then it'll charge everyone's batteries. Hope that helps!
  6. I have one too - unfortunately it isn't well supported on the Mac. I could get it to work but I don't think it's quite worth the price there. Experiences may vary, of course.
  7. OMG, slashy, I *finally* understand the Oberth effect, and it's all thanks to you! This makes perfect sense: a given burn will increase your speed by the same amount, regardless of the initial speed. And as you pointed out, it's kinetic energy that gets you places! Why didn't anyone say this earlier?
  8. With the direct dl you can download any version I think, so you can go back if you don't like an update. Steam gives you fewer choices. Steam will count your play time for you though, so you can brag.
  9. LOL! That's what I get for posting from my phone!
  10. Yes, docking and percussion landing can be intense! Oh and I had a couple of the small solar panels. Perhaps they were occluded, because they weren't producing enough for the floodlights!
  11. This was so cool, I must share. "Lander Jr", with its crew of three, was coming back to "Duna Orbital Science" from Ike with a rich bounty after an extended mission. All supplies were low - in fact my previous attempt had ran out of fuel on Duna orbit. So I use everything I know for a nice, slow, economical approach and rendezvous. I make it near the station, pick a docking port, come in... I'm low on monoprop so I'm using this trick where I turn RCS off when I need to turn, and back on when I need to move. My goal is right in front of me, visible in my lights as I make final adjustments, careful not to clip any of the station's solar panels. When suddenly the craft refuses to rotate and my lights dim, brown out! I was out of power! I don't know whether that was planned by Squad or just the result of the simulation, but it was perfect! This gave me goosebumps. It was the perfect reminder of how even at the last minute things may still go wrong. I was still able to bring those Kerbals home - with some extra stories to share! Thank you Squad.
  12. Awesome mods! I particularly like the resource transfer and portrait stats! Also, thank you for having such good descriptions, with pictures and everything!
  13. I'd like to see "warp to" bug-free. Other than that, I really like it.
  14. I really like it! The radiators are a welcome addition and the game is a ton of fun!
  15. This is the most beautiful thing I've read today.
  16. I've played KSP for a while (since before the destructible buildings) and I'm trying career for the first time with 1.0. I haven't made it super far yet (Mun orbit is the furthest I've been so far) but so far I'm finding that career is fun. Of course I can't just go land on Pol right away but I'm enjoying the change of pace. The missions are varied and so far I've never felt like I had to do one that wasn't appealing to me.
  17. Congrats, you beat the "unlock the tree" game! Now you can try to make new objectives for yourself, like "max out a few pilots", or "max out all the buildings" (you may already have that one). Or "make a million roots", or the usual sandbox goals like "land on every planet".
  18. Thank you for 1.0! I haven't yet been able to try out all the things but everything I've seen is clearly improved from 0.9! This game is so much fun!
  19. I know, it's great! I'm loving the new effects with the sideways smoke and dust on takeoff/landing. I haven't played enough to experience it yet, but I expect that the new aero and ISRU will make the game even deeper than it already is.
  20. This isn't a big problem, but it's the sort of polish I expect in a finished game. Let me know if the report belongs somewhere else. I hope you don't mind this sort of report, I know it's nit-picky! KSP Version: 1.0 on OSX What Happens: "enter" key fails to dismiss the mission summary dialog Mods / Add-Ons: none Steps to Replicate: Go to VAB, pick a pod, press "launch". Then press "recover vessel". The Mission summary dialog appears. Result: Contrary to expectation, pressing "enter" does not dismiss the dialog (it does nothing). Fixes/Workarounds: Move hand to mouse, click the "Done" button Other Notes/Pictures/Log Files: "esc" doesn't dismiss the dialog either, which is correct - that matches my expectations ("esc" is for auto-pressing the cancel button and there isn't one here).
