The "You know you're playing a lot of KSP when..." thread

When driving home this evening, just as it was getting twilight, I turned a corner and saw a single bright point in the sky. Ah, that must be Minmus I thought to myself and carried on driving. For rather longer than I care to admit I actually thought it was Minmus and didn't question it. I think what I saw was Venus, but my instant response is now a KSP based one. I often call our Moon Mun now too, and people look at me strangely (or at least more strangely than they did before).

I know right? I can't stand watching films with unrealistic orbital mechanics! I liked Gravity, but the fact that the debris was traveling faster but managed to hit the space station twice bothers me. It would be in an eccentric orbit and would take longer that the ISS's 90 minute orbit to come around again.

The other morning, my alarm clock was going off and in my head it was like this:

OK, the orbital intercept to 4:30 AM is looking alright, got a pretty good closest approach, in a second I'm going to start fine tuning and killing my relative velocity to 4:30 AM... OK, coming in to 4:30 AM at about .2 m/s, ...

Holy crap! What time is it?

"You know you play too much KSP when..." my wife can't enjoy her Star Trek episodes any more, because I keep kicking on their orbital mechanic flaws... Or for that matter, most sci-fi series or movies.

When I point out all the stuff wrong with ender's game...

these sum it up pretty good.
