Crafts from the Asteroid Sentinels

A showcase of most of the crafts featured in my graphic novel. I've released the crafts in several sets due to the sheer amount of crafts. Enjoy!
 

The Sentinel Space Telescope/Falcon 9

The first craft of the series, a fairly simple replica of the Sentinel/Falcon 9 made with stock parts and the Asteroid Day mod. It's got enough fuel to fly past Eve and probably a fair more too. In the series it found a plethora of asteroids, some with very strange orbits that I hadn't seen with just the tracking station found asteroids.

Asteroid Deflection Mission

A large spacecraft with a lifter based on the SLS Block IB. It has the Delta-V to intercept asteroid and bring them back to Kerbin, and could be plausibly used as a space tug for some spacecraft. It worked well in the series, bringing back an asteroid headed for Kerbin. Take note that the released version has just liquid fuel, not LFO like was accidentally used in the series.

Mission Very Profitable

Another craft based off the SLS, this features a refinery (though it should be upsized), as well as a replica of the Orion crew capsule and a module that could be used as extra space for tourists/as a space station core.

Asteroid Redirect Mission

A replica of the Atlas V 551 with a replica of the ARM packed with Delta-V to push asteroids around. I used this to push a Kerbin orbiting asteroid into a  safe orbit around the Mun.

MOL/Knoll

A small scale replica of the Manned Orbiting Laboratory and a Titan rocket. The laboratory part features a detailed custom interior that (should) be able to fit kerbals. On top is a simple replica of the Gemini crew capsule, as would have been used in the real mission.K2PQiXV.jpg.png

Minmus Station

The Minmus station is fully constructed as featured in the Asteroid Sentinels, and hopefully the Kraken will not strike this ship unlike in the story. For obvious reasons I reccomend splitting the launch of this station into 3 or 4 sections, one being the center with the science lab, the other being the habitation and probe, one being the fuel/refinery, and lastly the crew transports. It should be quite self-sufficient.

Minmus Crew Transport

A small craft capable of carrying kerbals to and from the surface of Minmus and to orbit without refueling multiple times. A nice little aesthetic control console is added in as well. It was used in the story to get Val's crew and the tourists down to Minmus (someone left their jetpack on while on it though...)

Minmus Base #1

A section of a base with plenty of living space and tools. Due to the low Delta-V it should be used on smaller moons, as it was in the Asteroid Sentinels, on Minmus. It has KAS connectors to link to other modules. Seen in the comics at the Minmus base, which had at least two of these.

Minmus Base #2

A self-sufficient ISRU spacecraft that can carry ore to and from orbit of many moons. It was featured in The Asteroid Sentinels on Minmus, presumably fo refueling ships in orbit. One version of it was damaged in the series by an explosion.

Super Shuttle Single Stage to Orbit

A slightly modified version of the Super Shuttle in the Asteroid Sentinels. This version is capable of SSTO (though with not much payload). It  is capable of taking off from Minmus and returning (though multiple passes are recommended to prevent overheat).

The War Room

Based off of the iconic War Room in Dr. Strangelove, this room makes for a good place for "filming" meetings for kerbals.

The Asteroid Destroyer

A gigantic rocket with a nuclear rocket stage capable of sending enormous payloads enormous distancesâand in this case, the rocket carries a large base of operations for asteroid busting in The Asteroid Sentinels. On the top is a probe with nukes to destroy the asteroid. It's quite an important location in the series, to say the least...

Asteroid Destroyer Backup Mk. 1

Spoiler

Two nuclear-armed probes with the capacity to destroy an asteroid. It should be noted that the thrust of the probes is vastly underpowered, and the engine sould be enlargened. The rocket itself is also quite powerful.

Asteroid Destroyer Mk. 2

A powerful set of two probes that are capable of causing serious damage/destroying an asteroid. With extensive fuel reserves, the bombs should be able to reach many places and slow down if needed. The probes can also be repurposed for science, if you wish...

Asteroid Destroyer Mk. 3

DOWNLOAD

A lower weight solution to destroying asteroids than the Mark 2, this also carries scientific instrumentation in case the probes are not needed, in which case their fuel reserves can direct the probes to other planets, such as Duna and Eve. Don't forget to separate the bombs, i'll give a significant amount of Delta-V!

X-Winged Transport

A supersonic aircraft capable of reaching Mach 4.75 while carrying 16 kerbals. It’s rather nimble thanks to its large control surfaces, but keep in mind that the roll rate is quite high. It carried Wernher across the ocean at extreme speed, landing just in time for a meeting with Kerbodyne.

Pioneer Station

A wild contraption of a spacecraft that should be launched in multiple parts, not all in one. You should launch the large NTR powered ship in one piece, as should the capsule. The four side trusses should be launched separately, but the core can be launched all in one launch.

A Kerbal Office

XlDPWg6.jpgA rather luxurious work space for a few kerbals, complete with computers, screens, snack storage, tables and lights! A great place for taking screenshots for a kerbal story. If you are using a version capable of utilizing kerbapaint, that is highly reccomended to enhance the set. It's Gus and Mortimer's office room if you're wondering. :)

Large Conference Room
