F-12-disable Steam screenshots while using overlay

F-12 gives aerodynamic overlay. But now Steam also has it set to create screenshots, so at the end of every session I wind up with a whole bunch of photos to delete. I have no interest in uploading my stuff to Steam ever. Is there a way to disable this?

In steam, go to steam menu (top left), then settings, then In-Game and you can change Screenshot shortcut key.

Or don't run the game while logged into steam.

Or change the overlay to other button, that's what I did

Yeah, I reassigned the keys in the KSP setup menu.  I just swapped the screenshot and aero-overlay keys. 

This way I take screenshots with F12 regardless of playing with our without steam.  Makes a lot more sense.
