Is there a way to make it easier to get a carrier into the water? The area between the runway and the ocean is now riddled with carrier debris, which is hard to avoid.

you can try using tosh's gravity canceler :

just put weels on the carrier, speed up and a moment before you leave the runway cancel gravity and glide peacefully to the ocean ^^

oh and dont use the engines in the air, because of the assymetrical design the thrust is not centered and it will start spinning pretty fast

hope that will help a bit untill i implement some special wheels or a relocate plugin

Hadn't thought of that one. Gonna have to figure out a way to put some upwards thrust on it though. Giant pile of carrier wreckage to avoid...

I have no idea how to make long carriers in the SPH, due to camera restrictions. I can only make a squarish one 2 large-hull-pieces long.

Just looks at it and think it needs a mid point so you can make it longger or make it more of a VTOL sort of landing pad so more space for a VTOL to land on

Just looking at that makes me wont the full game but I may have the $ for it now sa list of mods would be nice I think the nova remix mite have a good tank for it

Ok this mod looks amazing but the attachments are really annoying me. I've worked out a sketchy solution to mount the command pod off to one side of the carrier, which is going to cause a 5-mass list to one side, but now I can't get the main hulls to attach to each other. Help?

I managed an attachment method but collision meshes overlap and it causes the ship to explode. Also, why the hell does it so violently and spontaneously break into pieces? There's no feasible reason for that to be happening as a core game bug. Sorry but I'm seeing awesome potential ruined by shoddy mechanics.

OMG how did you make it that long? I've tried, but SPH's camera dosen't like it. Only managed to get it 3 hulls long.\

Btw nice propellers. What mod?

This is a pretty cool mod, but I do have one big gripe about it: you can't actually connect anything to the ends of the hulls except end caps. You can't connect hulls end-to-end, which means catamarans only, no traditional single-hull ships.

I used your mod to make a version of the USS Arlington. It was used as a communication and capsule/crew recovery ship for three of the Apollo missions including Apollo 11.

I also added the relay mod for the communications part. It now sits about 200km off KSP for all my water return missions.

I may move it farther South, but as you can only run it at 1x time in the atmosphere it takes a long time to move it.

Fun mod, thanks for posting it.

It is a pain to make it that long. I used the 1m plane cockpit that is flat on both sides. Move the pod as far away as you can and build out one side. Then just copy the side you built and rotate the pod. I hope in .17 that you can zoom out farther.

The propeller is from the Jupiter sub mod. I also used the tail fins from this mod as they are intended to be used in the water.

Hey. I don't know if it's quite possible but it would be nice if I could have a small box that this all fits in :P I was thinking this would make a future trip to Laythe quite enjoyable

dude that ship is awsome get a chance can ya load up some textures up on it,!! where i was born still near my city isn't has popular at providence or well know better off like boston but we own a battle ship!!
