Build in the space?

Hello, question is it possible to build in space without the DLCS? or in the game vanilla? Well, I have seen that some items can be carried in the inventories with the new update such as tensioners, those that look like "ropes"

you may mean struts or fuel hoses, yeah, they can be attached, but not between vessels

but there is no feautre for constructing big ships in orbit without the EVA construction

but with mods like extraplanetary launchpads or the MKS mods it's possible

Small craft can be built with EVA construction (size 0 and shorter size 1 things), but to carry bigger parts you'll need this mod and a lot of engineer kerbals.
