How do you gain reputation

(This wouldn't fit in gameplay questions, so I put it here). I noticed that I haven't really gained any reputation for a while, even though I have been active for the most part. A lot of people have so much more reputation than I do, but joined much later than I did. Thanks for the help.

Reputation reflects how many times other users click the Like button on your posts, outside of the Lounge section. To gain reputation, post things that will make other users want to do that.

Sometimes this is a question of gratitude; authors of popular mods or popular mission reports often rack up many many reputation points for each post, as an expression of their audience members' appreciation for their efforts.

There are other options. For example, if you pick a side in a controversial argument, the partisans of that side will often Like your posts to show support.
