Approaching Laythe with small multi probe ship. HgBYUmv.png

Landing with one of the probes. Did not want to miss this shot. cqO8aoO.png

If one could have better control I could have reached 5 of the 6 moons from this ship. 3 small probes are currently making a huge orbit around the sun and with luck will visit the Jool system in the far future. Perhaps I can fly by and or land when that times come for a few more moons.

My newly attached Solar arrays on the Global Research Station. I'de do bigger and take better pics, but my computer can barelly manage 200+ parts. I can't make massive and awesome space stations or interplanetary vessels to jool because my computer will snap.;.;

You realize you're pointing retrograde, right?

Yes, but in an hour it'll be pointing prograde.

GTG, burn coming up.

Ignition! Reactors running at 72% rated power, fuel flow nominal, estimated burn time 24m56s. Time to go get some snacks...

Constellation's back into the daylight about a quarter of the way through the 1200m/s delta-V burn, so far everything's nominal. Bow-back on the vertical landers is only around 20°, not as severe as I'd feared, but it's going to be a long next 18 minutes.

-- Steve

PS: just measured the acceleration: it's an absolutely crushing 0.08g. Worrying bit; the drop tank is past half-way expended but the burn's only half done... oh well, the tankers I sent ahead came in under-budget, so even if Connie burns herself dry at Jool the mission can go as planned.

Let me guess, you're sending an entire Laythe Base in one go? And all on the same ship? And with ONLY FOUR ENGINES????:confused: I think an Ion probe could get there faster...:sealed:

I think I'll be doing the same thing very soon... (Now I'll just get back to building the ship)

But seriously, you know that only one engine is more efficient than 4 right?

I think this is the most ridiculous rocket I have ever made...

Unfortunately, the idea was scrapped about 2 minutes into flight...:sealed:

Actually had a coughing fit from laughing at that.

If onyl there were some kind of simulator we could use so that we didn't have to kill so many kerbonauts.
