  1. I will buy additional content add-ons if they make them. I'm not willing to pay any monthly fees. I'd pay 5 bucks today for another solar system.
  2. Could be anything. Hoping for resources, volcanoes, or another planet with moons. Or volumetric clouds in stock!
  3. Well I didn't do the math and I don't remember what I paid for the game. Over 2100 hours but sometimes it's left running all night. I play other games too but Kerbal helps me relax after the baby goes to sleep. Sometimes I fall asleep at my desk.
  4. Same. Less that a penny per hour I think.
  5. I launch the whole 500 part monstrosity all at once. Sometimes even with tugs and small ships already attached. The frame rates are a bit slow at first but usually there's few issues. It's much faster than multiple launches and dockings and I've even sent them to other planets without the need to refuel. One I sent to Laythe launched with an SSTO already docked. Come to think of it, single launch stations are the way I've always done it
  6. Thought this thread was weird a few days ago but I had a short dream about KSP this morning. Landed Jeb on Eve and the graphics were way better than normal. There were glowing plants dotting the landscape and I walked over a small hill to find an iron bench sticking out of the purple soil. The seat was at a Kerbals sitting height, but the back curved upward on the right side pretty dramatically. I was going to search for more Victorian artifacts but then I woke up. Maybe I should visit Eve again.
  7. No man's Sky has many thousands of full sized generated world's. Also made by a small dev team. KSP2 should use their engine instead of Unity.
  8. Launched the Kerbal Kruiser MK1 to the Jool system. There is a Lander within which will explore Bop, Vall, and Pol before returning to Kerbin. There is also an emergency return escape pod on board capable of return ing the entire crew to Kerbin from Jool if there's a critical failure.
  9. Longest test and revert I've had was a multiple satellite launch to Duna. Got there only to realize I forgot the probe cores, so had to revert. What a waste of time.
  10. Yeah I've been doing this for awhile now.
  11. Landed on the Mun with the old demo. I've logged over 2100 hours since and my addiction is still out of control.
  12. My endgame for the past few versions has been visiting and returning from everywhere and having bases on Duna and Laythe. In the future I want my endgame to include further advanced technology and interstellar travel. Gathering science from a star system deep in a nebulae or a solar system orbiting a black hole would be epic. Kerbalforming world's would be great for a sequel
  13. If this guy in Nebraska is telling the truth KSP will be awkwardly irrelevant in a few years . http://swdllc.paresspacewarpresearch.org/
  14. Jeb could have just removed the science from the pod and deposited it in the rescue craft. No reason to bring back the original pod.
  15. I take screenshots fairly often, but rarely post them. There isn't anything that I've done that countless others haven't except maybe my old Laythe base. I play stock with EVE only because I like the clouds.
  16. I collided with an invisible mountain on Pol yesterday. The collision mesh is different than the ground layer in some places. I flew over to a nearby mountain and managed to land after loading with no further incident. Stuff like that is why I don't play iron man mode.
  17. Everywhere dozens of times. Only returned from Tylo and Eve's surface twice.
  18. I prefer Duna for all the reasons above. Eve pisses me off because it's difficulty is exaggerated by the lack of stock parts for balloons and turbofans. With those parts it would much more fun to explore and return Kerbals from. I have made it back once from Eve with a large asparagus rocket, but it felt silly and unrealistic to me.
  19. I've landed small single ion planes on Duna. Both had just command chairs for the Kerbals. I found than using RCS was helpfull both to slow the plane down, and for a VTOL capability. Best in a vary light setup. A single ion drive on a light plane can actually fly back to orbit as well, though it takes awhile.
  20. I feel that the player can make up his or her own story when it comes to missions, but there definitely needs more to be more unique stuff to do and see on the various planetary bodies. I had a great time over the holidays searching for the face on Duna with my mobile science base during a sandstorm. At times I was driving blind with the visual enhancements mod blowing red sand and dust around until I saw the face through the red haze. Without cool stuff to see and find, landing on planets is still just planting a flag and flying home. I think every planet and moon should have interesting things scattered around. Wouldn't it be cool if you could explore underwater caves on Laythe or fly between loose rocks and moonlets around Bop? Collect science from cryovolcanes on Vall and search for signs of water or extinct life on Duna? Investigation type missions would be cool to. Find out what happened to Jose Kermans expedition to Dres. The ship is empty so you find a Lander on the surface. There are rover tracks leading away. Follow them and find him still alive stuck in s crater.
  21. I'm more looking forward to the deep space refueling and how they will implement it.
  22. Yeah hit map view (m) and click the Kerbal icon the right side of the screen.
  23. Doesn't bother me. I don't seem to have this problem
