  1. I'm looking forward to it. Going to be useful for mining I think. Sometimes you can be in the dark for a long while behind Jool, say on Bop. Bop is a good place to set up a mining base given the low gravity.
  2. I want an android app of the VAB so I can build and design ships on the fly even if I couldn't test them until I got home. Lego rockets would get to many weird looks at work.
  3. I've been on a KSP hiatus for a few months, but I've finished the tech tree numerous times. I've been waiting for resources and stuff so that there will be more to do.
  4. "Rogelio (Roger): I’ve been rendering and doing some post production tasks, last week I started to play with particle systems to do some clouds. Also I’ve been fixing some textures, doing some changes and rendering some shots to see if we’re achieving what we want. We’re almost done with rendering and we’ll start with the comp" - from the devnotes He means clouds for the animation not the game right?
  5. I built a functional Skyranger from XCOM awhile back. Held 8 kerbals and was VTOL. Couldn't get it into orbit but then again, neither could the original.
  6. Yeah has happened to me. Find yourself a tall mountain and you should be able to land without issue.
  7. Park a refueller at Jupiter and top off the tank.
  8. I'm sure we'll get a Unity 5 KSP eventually. Definitely at least 6 months away. I bet 20 Kerbals lives on i
  9. I can't make heads or tails of what is going on in these images. Not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this either.
  10. KSP is dated in my opinion. With other space games like No Man's Sky (also made by a small team) rendering beautiful planets and solar systems on a galactic scale, KSP looks clunky and old. I understand that the physics and everything are way more accurate in KSP, but I hope they use a different engine for any Kerbal sequel a few years from now.
  11. The Kerbals turned me off at first. I bought the game after seeing some footage and playing the demo.
  12. I am eagerly awaiting SPAZ2 as well. Homeworld is also being rereleased soon to, already preordered on steam.
  13. I've never managed to build a SSTO that can get back from Laythe. It's a challenge for sure, but I have a feeling it will be easier with the new parts.
  14. I tend to follow the same pattern every career game I start. Mun, Minmus, Duna and Ike, probe to Eve, Gilly, Jool bop Vall and Pol, then Laythe, Dres, Eeloo, Moho, and if there is still time before the next update, land on Eve and Tylo. It takes awhile, but eventually Kerbals leave footprints everywhere and return home safely. Also, I leave a satellite behind in orbit of everything for the easy orbital science contracts. I've also built stations on and in orbit of Mun, Minmus, Gilly, bop, Vall, Laythe, and Duna.
  15. I'm basically taking a break until 1.0. Looking forward to resources and stock multiplayer down the road. I might play once a week or every two weeks until that comes out.
  16. Yeah I like the idea of expensive upgrades to engines and parts that require both science and money. Obviously, more total parts and more advanced stuff should also be added to the tech tree.
  17. It will allow for more interesting and useful ground base facilities and the easier exploration of biomes around Jool. I guess it will mean smaller ships overall since I won't have to bring all my fuel with me.
  18. As I've said before in other threads, I'm happy with Squad's updates and love where the game is going. I absolutely want more places to go and more to do when I get there. I would pay 5 or ten bucks for more planets and moons. I would pay more for more star systems and the FTL drives to get to them. Yes, there are mods, but I want them in stock
  19. Although I think the solar system has a nice balance of unique and analagous planets and moons , it lacks the variety, vastness, and sheer number of orbiting bodies of our solar system. It's far less than ten times smaller as the gas and ice giants of our system have well over a hundred moons. Jool's five , although nice, are to few IMO, and the lack of rings, comets, asteroid fields, make the Kerbol system seem rather bland to me. I under the limitations of the engine and our home computers, but I still hold out hope for a great many more destinations and things to see and study, even if they are fantastical and unrealistic.
  20. New Jersey USA. For now at least.
  21. Sounds like you need more practice building quality rockets. Maybe download someone else's and learn from them. Getting to Duna and back will be easy for you in a few months. Nuclear engines are your friends.
