full patch notes
Thunderbird replied to Thunderbird's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
yeah.... i meant a complete list... not a brief overview of changes... that list in readme and what Cepheus linked is what i consider a brief overview guess what Majiir said would be best, i dont know how those work :-) -
If i completely missed them somewhere, slap me and ignore the rest of the post please. It would be nice if we had a complete list of changes done every patch, preferably in some "in-your-face" location - like inside the patcher or on the game title screen. The last patch, from what i was able to figure out, changed something with attachment nodes - im not visiting the forum much so it took me quite a while to find out whats going on and im just guessing anyway, and the first thing i do when i start patching a game is going through the patch notes, and i only found a brief list of changes which was not much of a help with the current problems i have with the game. Im sure modders would appreciate a complete list of changes as well, so they can get our favorite mods that we cant build anything with working :-)

this bug is all over the game in various shapes and sizes it happens to me with normal attachments, just tried putting a normal 3m tank under a pod, it clicked on/off and the attachment node dissapeared... deleting the part and trying again does the same thing i am running a modded game, but from fiddling around with it most likely its not really a mod problem unless the behavior of the whole game was changed regarding part handling, its been happening to my stock parts too

:notbad: now make a video with it like Birgirpall makes with BF3 planes :-D

What's Jebediah Kerman's role in the space program?
Thunderbird replied to Temstar's topic in KSP1 Discussion
personally i think Jeb is the spirit of the KSP, he is the crazy maniac they invited in for a suicide mission, but that succeeded because of his insane skill and energy, and ever since then, he is dragging the KSP behind him on a rope of his own endless energy, personality and psychosis -
youre more than welcome to do it and take pics/video of it :-)

nonsense... do it with all bodies of the Joolian system

What is most important for you when making ships
Thunderbird replied to AmpsterMan's topic in KSP1 Discussion
For me, i usually pick one of the standardized landers i have ready, modify it slightly for the given task (if i have to rebuild it ill make a new standard model). Efficiency is very important as i build huge ships, as are aesthetics in a way because i like building non-typical scifi designs with lots of doodahs pointing out from all around them, but most important factor is RAW POWER. My ships are generally overpowered for a given task, have redundancy reserves, some are even designed to be self-sufficient... it is not exactly rare for me to pick a spot to fly to and decide to go somewhere else entirely mid-way there. So yeah, big, fat, flying skyscrapers with imposing engine pylons, gondolas, packs of engines stacked on each other, with a decorative cannon/laser here and there... If its possible to do, i like to create lots of needless and complex fairing/shroud structures that change a ship from a sleek design to a militaristic technomaniacs dream with the press of a button, but fairings are SIMPLY NOT BIG ENOUGH for most of my designs. -

Forty-Two Industries (Super old)
Thunderbird replied to Tim_Barrett's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
any chance you might redo the Falcon, without Silisko Edition parts? using those makes my game explode and they dont balance well with anything else i have that plane is just way too cool 8) -

by the way,i noticed a significant lag... and improvement of framerate, when i fired all ammo from my 4-railgun Killbatross the rails were loaded with 8 MIKE rounds and 16 practice rounds... after firing off all the ammo my framerate almost doubled i got a weak temporary PC (P4 single core 3.2GHz) so its probably a lot more noticeable with my hardware, but my framerate went up by approx 3/5th... from a choppy experience to smooth flight

[1.0.2] NovaPunch 2.09. - May 6th - 1.0 Compatibility Update
Thunderbird replied to Tiberion's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
just a thought here... im finding it increasingly impossible to use SAS/RCS fuel modules in the middle of rockets, they seem to snap off anything they are attached to unless very carefully and very heavily strutted... while using non-gimbaled engines... especially when the rockets are long is there any way to strengthen the connections between them and fuel tanks? they seem to work fine on tiny stuff (read - effective small rockets =P) but on anything larger i have to mount them off the main hull (radial clamps,on top of boosters on the side, etc) else the whole ship turns out worthlessly sensitive to slightest course corrections... not to mention it makes 2x during ascent a very bad idea =P -
gratuitously giant and powerful missiles, here i come

less clutter is good... personally id split fuel tanks and engines in different sections, if we had a tab for that.... sadly,we dont
