It\'s suppose to be easy. It\'s a message, not an attack. :
-
Your right. Some how I read your comment in backwards brain mode. ??? You did say the MIR had smaller connectors, and larger main parts/capsules.
-
And.... I\'ll not get the time to make a video on how to make parachutes for a while. But, on the bright side, funny mod there! Quite good for a first attempt. I mean, it worked right!? That\'s success! First step on the long ladder to failure boredom success!! Hats are good too!!!

Um, it tells you ON THE PAGE. Sorry to shout, but it actually tells you. It\'s like your mother saying 'you are grounded because you broke a window' and then saying 'But why am I grounded!' The link says it all... (You don\'t even need google) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

Why should you complain about a free service you are not paying for? It\'s not down, they only show a warning page of what Wikipedia will look like if SOPA is passed (the UK already extradites people to the USA over copyright infringement. If you think that they won\'t shut down sites as well, your most probably mistaken). So, Wikipeda is saying 'this is what will happen if people don\'t pay attention'. Turn off javascript and you get your wikipedia back today...

You do realise it\'s the opposite on MIR? The 'node' is smaller than the rest of the parts. IE the living quarters are larger than the connecting parts. By a long way. But here the Node is as massive as an entire fuel tank! :/
-
$10 is not too bad. Still a good price! Sorry Squad, I gotta hold out a little while longer. But thanks for keeping the price reasonable. Really, you guys are amazing. Like diamonds in the rough.

A lot of mods will not be usable with the latest builds. Many things have changed in the game in the last few months. Perhaps delete that 1 model folder in the 'parts' folder and see if it works.
-
Wow. Great. Any chance of a scaled down version that fits Kerbal style ISS? IE, it would be the smaller connector (parachute size) as supposed to the larger one?
-
Wow. Amazing.

How many times can you use one craft.

Ok, I\'ve not got the patients for this. Takes too long to launch most things. Here is the Phoenix version 4 (don\'t ask what happened to the others ). The lander has parachutes to help with landing. It can land on the ground, or stay upright in water. Only 2 orbits possible on this build though. Well, no orbits as I have not tested it fully into orbit yet... -

Nice. I can never get to orbit with 3 tanks, so I\'m using 4, :/ Great that it makes it in water! My idea was not too crazy after all. Medusa crashed, never had enough fuel. But out of the ashes and rocket parts left by the side of the road will rise a new creation. It\'s name will be Phoenix, and it will land on both water and solid ground! PS, can you share the save of the craft? This is Phoenix. I added wings to the landing stage. It can launch, orbit and land only two times. But seems to work. -

Nice one BoolyBooly! I might be able to help a little. I\'m doing my final test of my 'soft' lander. I have orbited successfully with it, but only landed in trials from the launch pad. My last attempt landed 'hard' and not soft. It has 25 engines for the launch stage + 5 for the orbital burn With 9 LFE, but dropping them as I go. Then 3 for the landing, with anything left over from the landing being used to help launch the final 4 (it needs 4+ a little) LTF on the last launch stage. [edit] Hmmm. I was flying MUCH better yesterday. I got into orbit with fuel to spare. It\'s rather close though. This time, I only managed to scrape it up there. I\'ll see if I can adjust the design slightly to cut out some weight, as using more fuel tanks will be counter productive. That will give me more allowance for mistakes. Oh, I was being too cautious on the throttle on the launch stage to try and save fuel. If I go faster in the launch, I get out of the atmosphere quicker, and have more fuel for the burn. [Edit 2] Ok, here it is. It can orbit. But I fail to land at the moment. But the second stage does orbit in tests. :/ [Edit 3] Oh well, it got into orbit, but I ran out of fuel landing. Now attempting to use parachutes to land... -
To the other hemisphere and back

Oh, forgot to mention, nice one boolybooly! Your design is much more elegant than mine. I\'ll try and get it uploaded soon. -
Nova, Feeding it only makes them stronger!!! ;P

Well, as I\'ve been making a rocket capable of this in the 'multi orbit' thread, I\'ll give this a go too. Stage 1 of project 'Hydra' will be complete soon. -
First rocket I made on my new laptop.
Technical Ben replied to Asmosdeus's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Nice one Asm! I\'d wonder how well it flys. Better than the Yogcast too. It works on an Intel Chip as well? Wow, they must have upgraded from those DOS drivers they kept spamming out. (Oh, but great specs on the laptop!) -
Your rocket design philosophy

It\'s suppose to be a flying smiley face. And no, it\'s not fuel line abuse. That would be my rocket with central drop tanks that leave a hollow rocket! -

This kind of says it all... -

Sounds good Nova. I\'m trying a new water lander... but it\'s getting bigger, not smaller. -
Hey, I was not serious and thankfully, I am sure Squad still has a sense of humour unlike the other dev teams we see these days. Even my favourites such as Settlers are going 'Free to play'. The entire game description and setup just makes me want to hurt people it\'s so wrong. I hope the developers get the idea, it\'s free, yet I still will not play it. In fact, they could not pay me to play a F2P game! A 'free game' or a 'free trial' or demo etc are all fine. Like KSP they are great. But 'Rope you in with promises of free games, which you hopefully won\'t realise are just tricks to get you addicted to our cash shop' are not a thing I want to play.

My favourite OZ is Rolf Harris... ... Oh, wait!

Ok, I\'ve got a new craft into orbit successfully this time. So, it\'s possible in theory. This one is called 'Medusa'. You can launch it into orbit with fuel to spare, so it might be best to cut out a few parts... oh, especially so as it\'s got way over 120 fuel tanks at the last count. This is what it looks like in orbit... This is what should happen for the landing.. -
Great work on the game so far! Other than Dwarf Fortress, nothing stress tests my CPU like KSP! Mind you, I am obsessed with launching a normal rocket into orbit or landing it on the Mun. I mean, those Kerbals are going to need a spare up there!

Technical Ben replied to Evilchicken's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Ok landing is proving harder from orbit, than from a test launch. So I\'ll go back the drawing board on the lander, perhaps on the part count too... Ok. I\'ve successfully launched a 'rocket'* to 60k, landed stage 2 and relaunched stage 3 into ORBIT then landed again. Here is the craft that did it. Not sure if I could ever get the first stage into orbit or not, as I start to get fuel flow problems with my design, and use up some of the orbit/landing fuel by mistake. I\'ll have to work on that... PS, warning, it has far too many parts! I\'ll upload the stages 2 and 1 on their own if you want to see how it can 'land'. Yep, it\'s a mobile ocean launch pad!
