  1. Nuclear Powered departure stage? Like a NERVA engine?
  2. are you doing a landing or a flyby the apollo had a venus flyby only using the last stage (S IV- and the service engine, and they used a similar wet workshop setup...or they were to use this was just a plan of course. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manned_Venus_Flyby
  3. Maybe you could marry your station part to this Proton Rocket. Its got it where it counts.
  4. ??...Question...Question...?? What would you do with all the space, or in other words, how would you design the interior space for the crew? I will Start... Divide along the long axis into four quarters. Do with each what ever you want... My Ideas... 1. Living quarters, sleeping and eating, and cleaning. 2. Support Systems, Storage, Experiments, ect. 3. Relaxation, Reading, Exercise, View-port, Internet Terminus, and Kerbal Indoor Flying area!! 4. Shooting range for gyrojet pistols!! (that\'s Kerbal) The Smallest rockets I know of. RRs
  5. oooooooo.......... oooooooooooo.........
  6. The WorkShops of RedRockets is proud to present... Proton (Extra Large Launcher for Space Stations, Large MUN Bases, or Solar Missions) Craft file is a simple orbiter but it can customized for your needs. RRs
  7. don\'t hesitate to write long post but back them up with lots of screenshots. RRs
  8. Gemini-Centaur A real pain to fly I would like to see if anyone can make anything out of it! RRs
  9. to take screenshots use F1 key! then post them from the file labeled screenshots in your KSP file.
  10. The WorkShops of RedRockets is proud to present... Atlas (A Great First Time Rocket for New KSP Members) Cheap, Easy, and Does What You Tell It. Easy Launches, Highly Responsive Controls, Limits Over-correction!! UnLimited Orbit for MUN or Solar Missions. MEI capsule is my new favorite for moon missions! Its like a free stage with huge weight to thrust numbers as well as high fuel efficiency!! And for the poorly trained pilots.... No Landing Gear is needed for a moon flight and landing. Pics 4&5 : This Capsule Is Tough!! I am rolling around on the moon trying to stand on my nose! RRs
  11. Pic for you. Very interested in the development of this TKS!! RRs
  12. Pic 1: A Basic Orbit Craft gave me one of my best pics. Pic 2&3: craft at standby and liftoff. Craft attached.
  13. 8) Lets See Your Mission Pics? I bet they\'re better than mine.
  14. The WorkShops of RedRockets is proud to present... K-Navy SAT DESTROYER MK6/R!! (A Fast Straight UP ANTI-SAT LAUNCHER -- 8 Missiles 8 Chances to Down Your Target!) Spare no expense in keeping your orbit clear of all the unwanted new neighbors! FAST STRIKE - AND UNMANNED!! Limited to >1 Orbit But Very Close ~34,000m Perigee. Fully Reusable fuel tanks (Radial Parachutes Bring Everyone Down Safe) No Crew to worry about returning, and the best feature Eight High-Velocity Fire and Forget Impactor Missiles!! The sequencing is set to launch each missile individually, any change in sequence will ruin your launch... a word to the wise...watch out!! A polar orbit is the most realistic mission profile but East-West works just fine too. The rocket is designed to be flown with very minimal human inputs just like a military missile. Use the RCS and the SAS; burn the first stage top dead center, the next at apogee at 45 deg for the first half tank then down hard on that horizon until burn out!! Your apogee should be over 150,000m and the Perigee below 35,000m -- (Not Enough For A Full Orbit But With the realistic mission profile and the parachutes a splash down or hard landing means full recovery and reuse.) While on your sub-orbital fight enjoy taking pot shots at the nearby KSS or Com-Sat!! Eight chances in total -- Sequence: 1 - Nose Cone Flare : 2 - Missile Solid Motor : 3: - Decoupler Not meant to start an arms race in space...but....You Feel Lucky Punk? Well Do Ya? Throw Down!! Craft Files --- MK6 no parachutes MK6 R/t - recovery test you need to re-sequence the parachutes for the last stage!!!! RRs
  15. Looking Good! Have you seen the newly made deployable solar wings on the Soyuz release?
  16. Where can we host pics online for free? I only have my pics on the flash drive where i keep the copy of my KSP.
  17. I came...I saw...I broke my nosecone and parachute off leaving my guys headed home with no home of surviving...Pics and craft attached Everything went right, then wrong, then right, then horribly wrong...then they died Pic 1: Full MEI capsule on moon...lost lander when I ran out of RCS fuel (Keep the ADV. SAS toggled off/on while on landing approach) Somehow the capsule emerged out of the wreckage, with out the lander...I took the chance and landed it...Steely Eyed Missile Man Indeed! Pic 2: Leaning...The Next Challenge? Pic 3: On the nose...umm if it looks a little flat on the surface, it broke off the nosecone and parachute...oops...that\'s going to be a rough landing. Pic 4: targeted landing...at least it was i forgot Kerbal keeps spinning under you Pic 5: I should be blowing the chutes right about now...sorry guys.
  18. After about a week of development and a destroyed flash drive a new KSP release and the everyday hustle of life in general... The WorkShops of RedRockets is proud to present... Orbital denial vehicle!! (Loosely Based on the CCCP\'s Almaz secret military space station.) Spare no expense in keeping your orbit clear of all the unwanted new neighbors! Long term space station!! Like a nuclear sub only the crew\'s endurance is the limit. Self recharge fuel tanks; solar powered sensors and cameras, RTG powered living quarters, crew return vehicle (if they last that long), and the best feature twin solid rocket orbital impactor missiles!! The sequencing is very fidgety watch out!! A polar orbit is the most realistic mission profile. The rocket is designed to be flown with very minimal human inputs just like a military missile. Only in this case it has two people on board. Use the RCS and the SAS; burn the first two stages top dead center, the next two at 45 degrees as close to due north as you can, then just fire up the orbital motor and wait till apogee and circularize your orbit. Not meant to start an arms race in space...but....You Feel Lucky Punk? Well Do Ya? Throw Down!! Also posted in the Space Station Design Forum

  20. to quote a great american...\'You know what makes your rockets go up? Funding makes your rockets go up. No Bucks, No Buck Rodgers!'
  21. I keep jumping around on the launch pad and then tipping over and exploding anyone else have this problem? Solutions?
  22. You are right in your assesment...Some look even better than the original.
