  1. More that that it requires precise timing for launch (your launch 'Window')
  2. Be careful the time you spend on KSP can start to disrupt your work ethic and it can routinely get under the skin of your significant other. Oh and when you start to have dreams of building rockets or seeing rocket parts in the everyday objects around you, you have truly become a kerbalnaut!! Best of Luck! This is such a supportive community you are going to be pleasantly surprised, RRs
  3. That is a great link Sofa you should start a thread with the info from that alone...lets change the terminology and pov of all the kerbalnauts!

    KSP at work

Best to just use the school network and share the joy and science education of KSP with everyone. I am sure that sounds like a good idea Trbinsc but for us teachers out there surpassing the security measures of the schools network is a fast way to get fired from a public school then you are a pariah and will never get hired again. But as far as private bussiness goes I wouldn\'t really know. Just a little info from a teacher who is looking forward to the pension in the golden years.
  5. Thanks Sofa! I love this forum such quick answers!
  6. Zero you have the best so far look at that, its a masterpiece was that pre-planned or did it happen by accident?
  7. Oh man Carol that is the money! Look at that Kerbal you must have had your orbital period set just right! Are you on the slope of a slight rise or still in landing mode?
  8. i don\'t understand what you mean sofa? What is a \'wet dock\'?
  9. I am not a professional screen shooter! sorry they all look the same
  10. I have a huge file of pics from missions i am constantly flying. This is from today when i saw the challenge and decided to take my most successful ship to the Mun.
  11. I know that guy he works at my local Chinese take-out joint
  12. How bout this? At least one of the three ended up on its feet.
  13. Holy god Nova!! I don\'t think the shuttle was designed to do that!! Great Job!!
  14. Moon Base Alpha It all went to plan until the return lander and the sci-package fell over RRs
  15. What a list... as a person from the US, I don\'t really want to be a part of that.
  16. Ik kom uit Chicago en bracht een jaar studeren in Nijmegen aan de Radboud. Hou van je land! Ik ben er huwelijksreis volgend jaar zomer, waar ik moet de nieuwe vrouw?
  17. oh yeah that\'a serious concern. if you look at Goddard\'s first rocket the tanks have abnormally long fuel lines runnig up to the motor at the top. And he love struts before it was cool!!
  18. What is the communities feelings towards things like the solar collectors? Are there any parts which are strictly taboo?
  19. That\'s what i mean...no matter how compact you try to make a Mun rocket they are just huge by definition...as more planets are added they are going to get super massive, to big even for the VAB or the launch platform...that is unless docking and saving the game progress is initiated so you can launch multiple components or even refueling stations out in orbits to seed the tools of exploration around the Kerbal system.
  20. oh yeah um...solar collectors. you caught me.
  21. Is that really a part? If so I want it bad.
  22. I have recently had the idea for a 'Puller Rocket' where the payload is under the boost stages and thus you can benefit from the tensile strength of the parts and not their stiffness or compressible strength. A little research on Robert Goddard (father of modern rocketry) will show his first liquid fueled rockets had this same layout with the motor in-front of the tanks. It was reportedly very unstable, the heavy tanks wanted to pitch above the smaller and lighter motor. I think this could be a great design challenge to all the kerbalnauts out there designing more ambitious designs than this or those interested in the historical progress of rocketry and manned rocket flight. I think I now know why von Braun didn\'t follow in his direct footsteps. RRs http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=3622.msg39342#msg39342 Pics of my first and only attempt not very successful keeps pitching around its center of gravity
  23. What kind of Joystick do you use? Interested in buying one but don\'t want to waste my cash.
