I built MOLE to fill my perceived gap between the Mk1 and the Mk1-2, and to create early space stations before you get docking technology. Originally I just had an extension to the Mk1, but eventually I created a Gemini-like 2-kerb capsule. I settled upon 1.875m in order to accommodate helmets, which influenced my decision to make 1.875m station parts, but that also resulted in a need for a 1.875m launch system. I'm pretty happy with the end result though. I think having a 1.875m 2-crew pod in stock wouldn't be necessary unless you had enough parts to complement its capabilities. What would the 1.875m parts do that the existing 1.25m and 2.5m parts don't, so that players would want to use them? MOLE, for instance, has a science system geared towards researching how to live and work in space. It also has wet workshops (once I fix a bug) that let you launch station modules as fuel tanks and then let you convert them into living spaces after reaching orbit. Without compelling gameplay options, the existing part diameters- and parts- work just fine. For stock, unless they're looking to expand functionality, it might be easier to make a 1-kerb extension for the Mk1 that is also 1.25m. You'd get the functionality that people are looking for without adding a lot of parts to the core game, and it wouldn't have to look like you stuck an aircraft fuselage onto the back of a space capsule. Such an extension might have additional functionality that other parts don't, such as a built-in fuel cell. So go with 1.875m if you want a bunch of new functionality, or just make a small extension if you just need extra crew space early in the game.

Thanks for the heads up. The Supernova upgrade is a leftover from when KSP didn't have part upgrades. I have to rework the engine plugin to support the new upgrade system. I'll put that on my list to work on after finishing the Buffalo parts. Just about done with those.

Thank you for the suggestions. I looked in the VAB. I checked both 0.9.8.4 and 0.9.8.2. It appears that the Kosmodrome launchpads are available in 0.9.8.2, but not in 0.9.8.4. Do you need my logs at this point? If so I can recreate the issue with 0.9.8.4 and send them to you. Thanks again. -

Hi @Ger_space, thanks again for carrying on support of Kerbal Konstructs. I was wondering if you had time to help me sort out an issue. I have 0.9.8.4 installed, as well as the Top Secret and Kosmodrome mods. Unfortunately, the launchpads aren't showing up in my game. All I seem to have are Kilo Sierra Papa and Round Range Launchpad, aside from KSC itself. In my logs, I see the following: [LOG 14:38:32.163] PSystemSetup: Cannot find facility named 'Kilo Sierra Papa' [LOG 14:38:32.174] PSystemSetup: Cannot find facility named 'Top Secret' [LOG 14:38:32.181] PSystemSetup: Cannot find facility named 'Round Range Helipad' [LOG 14:38:32.183] PSystemSetup: Cannot find facility named 'Round Range Launchpad' [LOG 14:38:32.187] PSystemSetup: Cannot find facility named 'Round Range Runway' [LOG 14:38:32.223] PSystemSetup: Cannot find facility named 'Kosmodrome Helipad' [LOG 14:38:32.225] PSystemSetup: Cannot find facility named 'Kosmodrome Terminal' [LOG 14:38:32.226] PSystemSetup: Cannot find facility named 'Kerbin Galactic' As far as I know I've installed Top Secret and Kosmodrome properly. The packs are a couple of years old so likely they're not updated to support the latest Kerbal Konstructs. Do you have any suggestions on how I can get the launch facilities operational? I'm not well versed in Kerbal Konstructs, I'm afraid, but any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thansk again. -
That sounds great! I'm especially excited to be able to use the stock waypoint system with SCANSat. I have been trying KerbNet but miss the ease of use of SCANSat. I do love how you need a valid connection back to Kerbin for KerbNet to work. Would that be possible in the new SCANSat? Thanks for all your hard work. SCANSat has been a staple in my career games for a long time now.

Not sure what the units are in terms of, but the largest hull is rated for 2500 lifting force. I can take a 42-ton vessel and reach about 11km. -
At present no, but you could set the faint duration to maximum. Whenever the next snack time is, they'll faint again.

Ok, I need more information then. What version of the mod are you using? How are you building your craft, when your airships explode, do you have logs? And did you paint your airships with rocket fuel? -

Hi all, I've run into an interesting problem with IVA overlay: adjacent parts are affected by the overlay, making them look like the IVA was drawn on top of the part that doesn't have an IVA. I notice that many stock parts don't have that problem, and I can't figure out why. Here is a picture of what I mean: Is there some trick to designing IVAs so that when overlay mode is on, and you have a part right next to the part with IVA, the other part doesn't get drawn over? Clearly it's possible because as you can see, the stock IVA doesn't have that issue, but how is it done? Here's more info on the part's IVA setup: Here, the aft bulkhead is set to Internal Space, and as you can see, it shows through during IVA overlay. The gray area is the DepthMask. I've tried setting the aft bulkhead to the DepthMask layer with the same result: the IVA bleeds through. I also did a DebugStuff dump of the mk2Cockpit, and don't see any special layers. Any ideas about why the mk2Cockpit works but mine doesn't?
