There's a development version of KJR available in the thread that solves the docking port issue. I've been running it for a bit and have no adverse issues to report.

I really like the possibilities that the rear docking tunnel offered. Sad to see it go. Is the new ATV fuel tank the same size as the old one? In other words, would the old engine fit the new tank? Edit: Well then we would also run into texture path conflicts. Easy to work around for an individual I suppose.

Just some ideas with red. Admittedly the first colors that came to my mind were deep blue/purple. -

A drill like the MKS module base that we could attach a storage tank to the top of would pretty ace I think. -

Been playing around with MKS for a bit now and have been having a blast with it. Very excited for an ORS alternative to Kethane! -
Can't wait for the next release! So much good stuff to play with!

It's based on the 8m version of the Ares V that would have utilized five RS-25s, not the SLS, so the center engine is accurate. The 10m Ares V would have had up to six RS-68s on the core. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ares_V

It does look really nice

Gotcha! Thank you!

Sir Diver, could we possibly have this fella as a standalone part?

Pro Tip (?): I use MechJeb to launch to Rendezvous with my station in a 125km equatorial orbit. I set my ascent profile to 40%. This burns up the External Tank, or very nearly does, and leaves me with right around 100 m/sec to circularize. Irregardless I separate from the ET at MECO and toggle to the OMS. The OMS burn is short and I have a lot of fuel remaining for maneuvers and the eventual deborbit. Obviously payload mass determines how much, if any, fuel remains in the ET at MECO, but even with an eight ton payload I still have lots of delta-v to work with. I'll experiment with a 150km orbit tonight for a Duna Transfer Vehicle assembly. Will post pics.
