The MachingBird Revive! 0.90 update
CitizenAerospace replied to TheAnimePug's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Yeah unfortunately I mistook the orbital speed for surface speed... Sorry about that -
The Pelican crew carrier
CitizenAerospace replied to spaceman1999's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Oh that sounds awesome! Later today I'll grab some photos of the two (Along with my 30-ton launcher, these two Pelican variants have become the bases of all of my in-orbit operations!)... How much DV do you think your interplanetary variant will have? My crew one currently has about 2km/s - 3km/s of dV when in orbit, so I could probably squeeze 5km/s out of it if I used NERVA's and a bit of part clipping -
The MachingBird Revive! 0.90 update
CitizenAerospace replied to TheAnimePug's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
So my little spaceplane didn't get any attention (Sad face), but hopefully with my new ones about to be released, it'll get some much needed love . However, I think that I have indeed broken the record... http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/108562-The-Idon-Series Although I do not have a picture of the final summary, I can whip that up in a second. As the resource panel shows, the only thing I used was my jet engine. I achieved a speed of 2350.8, and I believed I reached 2355 at one point... If this could be a contender, I'll get some new shots of the plane in action and the after flight summary. Even if this doesn't break the record, considering how large this plane is (and it is an SSTO!) I think that 2350 is pretty darn impressive. - - - Updated - - - It uses part clipping though. - - - Updated - - - Nevermind, was looking at orbital speed XD -
The Pelican crew carrier
CitizenAerospace replied to spaceman1999's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Yeah thanks I made a cargo version, as well as a different version of your crew one with a slightly longer range and more compact design. Downloading it now! -

I like this idea! -
That looks amazing! I love the design, how much DV does it have when in orbit?

Do you mind if I copy the idea -

Looks very nice! How does it glide? How much DV on the third stage? Also, how much RCS does it have? Please upload the craft file -
* This is my first time working with part clipping and SSTO's, so be gentle * This is a small family of easy to fly, heavily part clipped and sleek looking SSTO's designed for beginners and experts alike. They are ideal as trainer SSTO's, due to exceptional handling and large margin for error. Experts will also enjoy their sport-like designs and maneuverability, while also taking advantage of decent range and abilities of these craft. The Idon Series is composed of 3 models: Model A, Model B and the Model C. Each Model also has two subcategories, being Citizen and Utility. However, the Model C has three subcategories, the third one being Crew Bus. So far, the Model A is the only model in production. You have been warned: These crafts contain very heavy part clipping and are made for fun and enjoyment, not realism. In saying that, you could ration that these are highly advanced spaceplanes built on metallic hydrogen rocket engines and triple-mode jet, ramjet and scramjet air-breathing engines. Anyways, have fun! Idon Model A The Model A is the cheapest and smallest of the Idon Series, featuring an agile and sleek exterior. They are built upon the Mk1 Cockpit, so only one Kerbal can be carried at any one time. * Model A Utility and the Model B Citizen will be uploaded tomorrow! Preview of features: - Model A Utility can dock, refuel and fly to the Mun. - Model B Citizen can land on the Mun, refuel and fly back to Kerbin. * Model A Citizen Designed for the average (Albeit wealthy) Kerbal, this spaceplane is the perfect beginner SSTO for all those thrill seekers out there! It flies with ease, and is capable of flying into a 150x150 orbit and back to the space center with fuel to spare. Flight profile is easy: Just use the turbojet to reach near orbital speeds (1800-2000m/s), then switch over to the rocket drive to circularize and maneuver in space! Cost: $33,658 Action Groups: [1] Turbojet [2] Rocket Mode Pictures: Download Link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ym0k37l74ewe7c6/AACCdWfvDY59T2DVsFZPnbSya?dl=0

KSP N-Prize Challenge
CitizenAerospace replied to Astrofox's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
This seems really hard and unrealistic.... I don't see how you could actually do this? -
Probably the best VTOL I have ever seen, handling wise, and looks. Incredible! Can't believe you haven't had more views.

[WIP] Inigma's KSP Essentials Mod Pack
CitizenAerospace replied to inigma's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Nice! I've used a bunch of different mods before, but it's taken me a loooong time to find a list of mods that I find really useful... This should really help new players! -

[0.25] Realism Overhaul w/ RedAV8R [Terminated]
CitizenAerospace replied to RedAV8R's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Sorry... Well, out of the around 20 or so engines I've tested (KW Rocketry and Stock), they don't ignite on launch. Also, none of the propellants are pressurised except Xenon Gas... There is no trouble shooting steps for that. Yeah, I've re-installed Engine Ignitor and KW Rocketry and the rest multiple times. Nothing seems to be helping. Hopefully I'm just doing something wrong... I'll keep fiddling with it. Think I might just give up on this pack though, nothing seems to want to work for me, Oh well -
[0.25] Realism Overhaul w/ RedAV8R [Terminated]
CitizenAerospace replied to RedAV8R's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thanks mate, fixed it up.... Now I'm having serious issues with the Engine Ignitor thing xD none of the engines are pressurised when I need them to be.... That, and second stage engines never ignite. This is giving me a headache -____- *That whale face though* -
[0.25] Realism Overhaul w/ RedAV8R [Terminated]
CitizenAerospace replied to RedAV8R's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey Guys, I'm having some serious issues. I'm trying to use TweakScale and RealFuels, and the GUI is being really stupid. It doesn't show up for any of the tanks, and the RealFuel only shows up when I'm in Action groups. I have re-installed and then re-installed them both multiple times, and I only have the core set along with RemoteTech 2, TweakScale and KW Rocketry.... Anybody got any ideas what to do? -
Really Tiny Mun vehicle
CitizenAerospace replied to CitizenAerospace's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I fly low power rockets ATM, but I'm starting work on homemade propellant (Already started burn tests) with a home made engine called the RD-1. I'm hoping to use a future successor of the RD-1, the RD-4, to power a rocket to an apogee in space. Still trying to figure out the legal stuff of all this, I don't know exactly how friendly the Australian government is to this sort of stuff (That stuff being high powered rockets and hybrid rocket engines) Sorry, thats kind of all I can tell you at the moment Thanks guys for the pointers on the probe, I'm working on a much longer ranged vehicle that should be about the same size length wise and should have 14,000m/s. -
Well it's not an amazing feat of engineering or anything, and for the rest of you veterans out there (I love rockets but it turns out I'm better at making them in real life than I am in KSP : P ) It's probably something you've built before I don't think is that amazing, but I kind of like it. Basically, its a low-cost 10,000m/s probe built low in the tech tree. I still need the solar panels so it doesn't run out of electricity, but besides that this thing is pretty neat for it's size. 49 parts, 4 stages. First stage to go is 4 RT-10 boosters, then four sets of LV-909's hooked up with fuel lines to a middle 48-7S (Only just discovered how awesome this engine is). With a bit of modding and a bit of tweaking, I could probably get it up to 14,000m/s of DV.
