Kerbal, but without the hassle of building rockets :)
SmiteZero replied to Goran's topic in The Lounge
...Building rockets is a hassle, but building a car is no problem? ??? Are you high? Also, this is not Kerbal. Kerbal is rockets. Is it not? -
Why? Why did you make this thread? WHY?! What is the point? ...Is it open day at the zoo or something? ..Just when I thought finally these forums were settling down a bit.

Yeah. You see, Windows has had these things called 'Tooltips' since it was first created. The way it works is you just hold your mouse cursor over something you don\'t know what it does and this magical 'tooltip' pops up after a few moments to tell you what it does! It\'s incredible! You will find every button and control in the reply dialog has an associated tooltip. Try it! It makes you seem more smart!

I\'ve never seen Sunshine, not even any promotional material for it. I have no idea what it is. Good moments of inspiration with a solid idea don\'t strike me as easy and often as they used to, but next time I think I\'ll make something suitable for a desktop background.

[1.0.2] NovaPunch 2.09. - May 6th - 1.0 Compatibility Update
SmiteZero replied to Tiberion's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
nohomo bro As Owl said, I\'m sure we all artists share the same shames. It was a good pack, dude. -
Does anyone have any ideas for me? I\'m going to go for a repeat performance.

Nova, would it possible to get the core sections as regular parts, too? (Or do you mind if we just copy/cfgedit ourselves?) That way we can leave little probies all over the moon.
-
Do you even know what you\'re supposed to do here?
-
Quiet you. It was <1 fps the whole trip. :-*

I\'ve always had a thing for ORBITAL DEATH LAZORZ! ..I hope that doesn\'t mean we can\'t still be friends.
-
Awesome. BTW the dropbox link is a 404.

So what\'s new? Did you put wheels in?

The planet/rocket/satellite/background images are screenshots of models and scenes I made/took. The Kerbals are of course lifted from the game\'s menu screen and modified as they\'re really the best impressions of our adventurers there are so far. I believe in using original content, so that\'s what I\'ve done in as many cases as possible. I used to get paid to do similar work once upon a time (Sorry Mr. Silisko. You never had a chance - professional. )... (anyone need work BTW? *rattles tin* ) so.. thanks for saying it looks real. Guess I still got a little bit of it left after all. I had the original Star Wars poster in mind as an initial concept. It\'s design makes your eye flow. Luke and Leia, up to Luke\'s Lightsaber with Vader and the Death Star in the background sky. It took a few days to clarify and imagine all the elements, then I had to make stuff (and get it into space) and take screenshots. Then I looked through what I had, picked out the things I liked and started importing and moving all the elements around. I used some modern movie posters as references for various design concepts to make it more appealing to a modern audience, also. Some fills, tweaks, masks, blend modes, text, mindless obsession over unimportant details, last-minute inspirations and one REALLY late night later.. and there we have it. And yes, all Photoshop. Artificial stimulants/depressants may or may not have been involved.

Congratulations, OP, for coming up with the title of another trashy romance novel!
-
Thank-you! :-[ Thanks to NovaSilisko for most of the awesome parts I used to make that satellite.

Hm. So, if the new system uses PayPal, too, some people don\'t like PayPal and wouldn\'t urinate on the ground for them to roll in if they were on fire and the last free release will be this one.. If the only option for people still by that time is PayPal, does that mean they lose out on further updates because of that company\'s business practices? I want to give you my money, I also really want to keep playing your updates. But I will never, ever, ever, use PP. Are people who feel like me screwed here? *beats back his inner idealist with a large stick*

Okay, Mr. Silisko. Now you\'re on. 8)

While the OP does state to land on the moon, the challenge is to get a picture similar to the original, which was taken in orbit, not from the surface. I therefore followed the intent of the challenge and didn\'t land. Also, do you see the MET? if you land you\'re gonna have to wait for 10 hours real time for the appropriate positions of all bodies. In orbit that was about half an hour go to woah. Thank-you everyone, and a big up yours to the supposed school teacher and his new little playbuddy. For the haterz: I modified the image to be a closer representative of the original. Due to shutter and aperture settings on the camera, shadows are completely black and highlights slightly blown. KSP doesn\'t simulate that graphically which is why I also attached the original screenshot to show I didn\'t just erase half the planet in photoshop. It is in it\'s correct position, half occluded by shadow.
