Thanks, I probably put most of my work into the Eris jet, but I think the Su-27 replica looks better

Hi guys. My name is Hexdragon and I host this thread and I own a youtube channel. I make planes and jets that fly stable and acrobatically. [thread=92662]Do you have a really cool looking plane that flips out of control and you want it fixed? Go here to get it fixed[/thread] Many of my videos have some visual mods involved: - Kerbpaint (always) - HotRocket (Always too) - Improved free chase cam (most of the time) - Persistent trails (sometimes) - Kerbtown (kerbin side) - Kerbcam (occasionally - BDarmory (sometimes) I will take requests from you guys one what I should build next, so don't hesitate. I have centered my crafts and many things I build to planes, specifically jets. There might be a car, or even rocket here and there, though. Here is the official complete list of all my public crafts: SSTO to the mun VTOL Fighter Jet "Eris" Su-27 Replica F-117 Nighthawk Replica Fighter Jet "Ataraxia <----- you're in for a treat with this one Ultimate armed Tiny Vtol SSTO Random Crafts and bits Random Crafts and Bits 2 Fighter SSTO "Bumblebee" [thread=93698]Space Kraken[/thread] [thread=94072]Fighter Vtol "Esoter"[/thread] Revised "Ataraxia" Su-35 Replica F-35 Replica

Can someone give me a link to a version of 0.23.5 procedural dynamics? -
I'm so tough I could beat Brazil better than Germany did, alone. Welcome to the Salty Spitoon... How tough are you?

[Stock] 30 sec Altitude Challenge!
manni01 replied to Mars90000000's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
its the thing with wings and cubic octagonal struts, right? they are physics-less while wings have weird flappy things going on with not even controlling them. -

manni01 replied to Mars90000000's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
yay sooo happy ~69,000m sorry to disappoint Ezzriilc, but I have the same concept as Redshift OFT. Kerbal physics allows some crazy stuff with flaps -

Better Stock Crafts 2: This Time it's Personal!
manni01 replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Two things: 1. you didn't unlock the smallest ones first (you unlocked the medium ones first) 2. if you use 3.5 m things with 0.65 m docking ports, any rotation or nonlinear (basically anything) thrust will make your craft wobble way too much and its really hard to get out of it it too(like pushing a chain). You seem like a person who just docks for space stations or refueling. The bigger docking ports provide more rigidity which is essential for big motherships with a lot individual components. -

manni01 replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I get what you mean, but the tug has 1.25 m and 2.5 m docking ports. The 0.65 m docking ports will usually have 0.65 m payloads which really don't weigh much. plus your mothership doesn't have much torque other than the capsule torque. What i mean is there is a certain amount of torque needed for certain amounts turning it has to deal with. I'm no scientist, but rcs isn't really anything for torque, but rather for docking. In real life rcs is used, but thats because kerbal's reaction wheels are OP. Really, if you build a mothership, put a torque module on it (sounds like twerk module, eww). -

manni01 replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Thanks, and I haven't really had a problem. The small docking ports are rarely used, but when they are used, they are often attached to small crafts, and the center of mass won't be alter too much (don't forget the 40.5 torque). Also, if it you really have problems, dock the same craft to the other docking port. I should maybe mention that if you use the tug to pull/push any payload without rcs ports, you will find your craft rotating because when you have a decently big payload without rcs, the rcs thrust will not be aligned with the center of mass. The Energy module I brought to the space station was a fairly heavy one because of the fuel tank, yet in docking it preformed pretty easy. just mentioning it. -

manni01 replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I have probably overdone my entry. I made a small mission to supply the beginning of a space station with an energy module. It didn't use half of its fuel or monopropellant. It is designed with two nuclear engines for small, medium, and large payloads (it has 2 small, 1 medium, and 1 large docking port(s)). Nuclear engines have low thrust and high efficiency making it safer to use and the tug can be used two or three times before returning to the planet with its parachutes(I assume money will play a role in.24 so reusability might become essential). I have two .craft files in the download: one is the tug itself and the tug with a launch stage to get it onto orbit even if you do it very inefficiently (~20,000m gravity turn). The tug has two advanced SAS's (1 big, 1 small) but it has solar panels and generators to keep the electric charge level nominal. Aesthetically speaking, the design doesn't look terrible for being an adapter/tug with the all docking port sizes, with nuclear engines, with the generators, and with the ability to return to the planet. There are no action groups beside the ones being automatically set which are the docking lights (red). I took too many pictures just to make sure I got the important parts. To make the crafts more stock-like, I gave them a description: 1. From the actual tug: Reusable Adaper Tug MKIII (Stock) This is a simple Space tug which can dock to payloads and vic-versa. Kerbals never thought they would see linear rcs thrusters used, but on this design it makes it look better and removes extra thrust (the removal of extra thrust was debated on for a year) The debate on which company would take the credit for this design was very long. It escalated quickly and the government thought it wasn't good that companies with the ability to build rockets, missiles, and planes were fighting over something. The design was confiscated and thrown carelessly into a random junkyard. Little did they know that they gave Jebediah Kerman's Junkyard and Spaceship parts co. this design. The government didn't bother fighting because they knew Jeb would win the lawsuit anyways. The first two attempts to create an adapter tug failed because it couldn't pull the heavy payloads very effectively. it hadn't come kerbals to mind to radially attach engines that didn't have the word radial in its description. 2. From the tug with the launch stage: Adaper Tug MKIII (With Launch Rocket) This is a small Kerbodyne rocket (small for Kerbodyne) with the Adapter Tug MKIII. The tug, with the launch stage, is easily able to get into orbit with its asparagus staging (asparagus staging: attach fuel-tanks with engines and decouplers radially, add pipe from radial tanks to center tank, and decouple the radial tanks when they are empty. Now you are at an higher altitude with a full center tank) Instructions to staging Stage 1 will release the stability camps, activate the liquid boosters and the center engine Stage 2 will decouple the liquid boosters. Notice the center fuel tank is still full because of the pipes leading from the liquid boosters to the center Stage 3 will decouple the center tank and engine and will activate your two nuclear tug engines Stage 4(only use this stage if you are in the atmosphere to return/land this) will activate parachutes if you are planning to save return this to the planet. __________________________ Here is the imgur album: Here is the mediafire download for both ships: http://www./download/afvp6aqjg2a088h/Ships.zip Btw, sorry if I misspelled anything, English isn't my first language -
Quick Question/Request for a convenient mod
manni01 replied to manni01's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Thanks, really helpful -
I think I know that there is already a mod that does this (which in this case I forgot the name of), but I want a mod that "purchases" every item in the R&D. This, of course, happens when you get a new mod for your KSP career game. I got a mod (I think its called hollow hulls) which has like 2 1/2 pages of items. Thats a lot and it would be a pain to scroll down, click on it, click purchase, and start over because the game scrolls you up to the top. Please give me the link if it already exists.

I have a small problem. When I use this mod, the VAB, launchpad, runway, etc. stays at its original location (meaning the Launchpad is underground which results in big explosions when trying to launch rockets). It has nothing to do with the mods I'm using, I've tried a fresh file. I've tried looking at the configs but that doesn't do anything that helps solve my problem(the closest I've gotten is to be able to change coordinates of non-usable Launchpads, basically static objects that don't have anything to do with my problem). I'm using 0.23 ultimately for remote tech compatibility. All I really need is a download for a RSS version which is meant for 0.23, not 0.23.5. Please helps someone
-
thanks, that works (mods like remote tech haven't been updated, and there are other small mods that don't work with 0.23.5)
-
I'm using ksp 0.23 for compatibility with other mods. There doesn't seem to be a download for a version which is compatible with 0.23. Can someone give me the last download for 0.23, the one before 0.23.5 please.
-
I'm using an outdated version of KSP (0.23) because of the outdated mods and I'm using a lot of them. I can't seem to find the download link for a KAS version suitable for 0.23. Yeah, it works, but the grab function, a big component of the mod, is dysfunctional and picking stuff up or basically everything that has to do with holding objects on the back of your Kerbal. Don't tell me that mods are incompatible, I've tried it singularly. Someone please give me a link for the version for 0.23 KAS.
