I am Dark Helmet. I choose the dark side of the Schwartz. I refuse to advance you towards your goals. -30

No, it's a moon I made with Laythe as a template. I think Erin is just Laythe with the heightmap removed and maybe the procedural terrain seed changed. And as for the Line on my Scaled space mesh, I'm starting to think that it's the Adventure Line. (It will NOT go away) It may have something to do with the normal map. EDIT2: Ok, now I'm almost certain that it's the normal map.

Ok, I've found something. There is a PQS modifier called PQSMod_CelestialBodyTransform. I can activate a setting called "override fade" and make the transition between PQS and scaled space instantaneous, which fixes my problem. But, now there is no fadeout, making the transition rather visually jarring. EDIT: Also, my scaled space mesh is drawing an annoying black line that is not present in the PQS mesh:
-
Does anyone know how to change the altitude at which PQS fades out into Scaled Space mesh? Because I'm making a planet with a *very* tall PQS mesh that is completely invisible at some of the highest peaks, right now. I think I remember seeing something called something like PQSFadeAltitude, but I can't remember where.

Granted. It gets planted in the ground, where it grows and makes new Valentine's days.

The arcane art of flag-planting
Vaporo replied to Vaporo's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Well, maybe this would work. If the slope you are planting your flag on is greater than, say, 60 degrees, the game uses the current flag-planting logic (or disallows planting a flag entirely). If the slope is less, it is planted directly in front of the Kerbal. -
My first goal when I got KSP was to land and return from every planet and moon at least once. I have since accomplished that goal. Though, I don't go to Moho very often. In fact, I think that it was nearly a year ago that I last did a mission to Moho. I keep planning to go to Moho, but then I don't. I should go back to Moho.

∞/10 Need I say more?

Something that's always bugged me is the fact that flags always end up pointing in a bizarre, seemingly arbitrary direction that seems almost completely unrelated to the direction the Kerbal was facing before planting the flag. I remember there was a thread trying to figure out flag placement a while ago, but the only conclusion I remember that they reached was that the logic of flag placement was weird and confusing. Anyways, my suggestion is simple: rework the arcane logic of flag placement so that the flag is pointing in the direction the Kerbal is facing when he (or she) plants the flag.

No. You want more space. I want a complete working knowledge of calculus.

Wait... Do you mean that I was in a retrograde orbit when the tungsten rod was fired? Or that you were in a retrograde orbit you fired the tungsten rod? WARNING! DANGLING PARTICIPLE DETECTED. GRAMMAR (Why is this word censored? National Socialist Party) MODE ENGAGED. THE SENTENCE IS DECLARED BY THE GREAT GRAMMAR REICH TO BE INVALID, THEREFORE NULLIFYING YOUR ATTACK. The next poster is forced to attend a soul-sucking eight hour lecture on grammar.

Ok. The next poster is attacked by Popeye the Sailor Man.

Yeah, I've liked this idea for a long time. The version that I've liked most is that you simply don't know that the planets and moons even exist when you start the game. In other words, you start being only able to see Kerbin, Mun, Sun, and maybe Minmus (I like the idea that Minmus would be hidden, and generally the first moon you discover, though). Telescope observations from Kerbin gives you a loose idea of measurements (approx mass, approx radius, approx temperature, etc) when you first discover planets (have no idea what the discovery mechanism would be. Hopefully not just random events,) and a map view that is nothing more than a marble with the planet's overall color. You can launch a small orbital satellite to get more accurate measurements. launching a probe with various sensors (gravity sensor, camera) into a planets SOI instantly improves the data relevant to its area. Going near the planet and doing more scans should get you to approximately the data that map view gives you now (excluding things like surface temperature, which you need to land to get accurate readings for) By putting a satellite into a low polar orbit with mapping equipment, you can do a detailed mapping of the planet's surface, a la SCANsat. I eventually hope that map view can be advanced to be something like Google Earth, where you can have ultra-detailed, 3d maps of terrain in areas you have scanned.

Sounds like you need a good assassin.

9/10 It would be easier to say where I haven't seen you.
-
Granted. However, your posts are always answered by slow non-ninjas who are responding to the post above you. I wish that none of my posts were ever ninja'd.
-
1/10 I may have seen you once.
-
Granted. It now only has 2 parts. I wish for the ability to slow and accelerate time around me.

[WIP] K-Radiation (Space radiation!) (Media is up!)
Vaporo replied to tajampi's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I've never heard of atmospheric reentry causing radiation, and can't imagine how it would. Are you sure that's accurate? A quick glance at the Wikipedia page revealed nothing about radiation. (I may have missed it, though. It really was just a quick glance). -
I imagine that they are slightly less effective against ball lightning.
-
invisitext (My ctrl-v buffer is EMPTY. I JUST started up my computer.)
-
Granted. You have a dubstep gun, but no dubstep bullets. I wish that people would forget about Green Iron Crown (It was fun to begin with, then it got kind of annoying when everyone started referencing him all the time, but now it's starting to get ridiculous).
-
But iron has so many more practical applications.
-
9/10 Very well built, but I don't quite see its purpose.
