  1. You can think that all you want but you are going to be disappointing every time a game comes out that releases on different regional time tables. It's the way game companies do things.
  2. This is definitely going to be in my 1.2 career. Based on your screenshots, you need to update your Delta-V Map as it looks like the numbers are from an old version, (though there is already a KSPedia version of Kowgan's delta V map) It would also be nice if you could include the information from LittleBlueGaming's Warp Boundaries chart.
  3. Games come out at different times in different regions all the time. It's standard operating practice. Get used to, it will be happening all your life.
  4. @mmhmmsteve Well, not trying to stop you or anything, just offering a suggestion I don't do reddit or XBox so good luck to you!
  5. Having the name assigned to the command pod itself would be more historically accurate to Earth anyway. At least in the NASA side. For example Mission Name: Apollo 11 Command Module Name: Columbia Lunar Module Name: Eagle Mission Name: Apollo 12 Command Module Name: Yankee Clipper Lunar Module Name: Intrepid Mission Name: Apollo 13 Command Module Name: Odyssey Lunar Module Name: Aquarius etc. As far as choosing the name, that's a little harder. It should at least try to choose based on craft type. A ship docking to a station takes the name of the station. A ship docking to a lander takes the name of the ship... and so forth.
  6. Once some progress is made on fixing the landing gear and the mod gets updated, you will definitely want to look at Adjustable Landing Gear. It's just between a rock and a hard place because of the bugs in 1.1. Honestly, I'd say try the stock gear and when it begins to frustrate you to no end that you can't find a good mounting spot for them so that they are wide enough not to flip the plane and level enough to not to hold the plane correctly and straight enough to not have the wheels crooked (this will inevitably happen if you like to build a variety of designs), then it's time for Adjustable Landing Gear.
  7. KSP has an official reddit, you'd probably be better off not splitting the community. Most things with the exception of technical issues and control issues can be answered by any player of any of the game versions. Welcome to the forums!
  8. There may be a limitation based on subforum (honestly not sure), like the really really awful question format that constantly reorders the posts so they make no sense may not support it.
  9. Gotta say I'm not a fan of the massive download. I'd much rather install my mods on my own and just get the configs.
  10. You have to set it active in the PC version from the map, did you do that?
  11. Somebody made a rather amusing time lapse gif of it. Sadly I don't have a copy, but it was hilarious and sad at the same time.
  12. That's why you haven't seen it. The landing legs are far less affected than the gear, because the legs aren't supposed to move once landed. The issue with the legs was that they DID in fact move, strangely enough. They would slide down hill at a glaciers pace so you would land, go do a little EVA and come back to your craft not where you left it. I haven't tested that, it may have been fixed in 1.1.3.
  13. It's nothing to do with Unity. It's just an old UI that hasn't received a makeover in a long time. Subnautica doesn't do it, Cities Skylines doesn't do it, Salt is worse than KSP, you can't change it's keybinding in the game at all but only on the pre-game splash screen... of course it loads in seconds so it isn't as annoying.
  14. It's been said before though. I don't have time to go search every DevNote and comment since the pre-release in March. Feel free to go and do that yourself. It's a known bug.
  15. FAR can be fun, but isn't necessary so I wouldn't call it "go to", Deadly Re-entry is in stock now, and part packs again aren't "go-to". If you enjoy them that is fine but they wouldn't be on my lists.
  16. I wouldn't expect it to be all that long now, but I think the devs are still hoping 5.4 comes out of beta.
  17. Success! I have invented this device. I call it a "Flight Stick". I shall charge $300 for it even though it's only really worth about $50 and tell people it has "higher quality" potentiometers.
  18. They have been talking about the repair work in the last several DevNotes.
  19. Lol, you are a little late to the party on this one. It's a bug, it's been confirmed, and they are trying to get it fixed for 1.2. We aren't talking about drifting either btw (tire sliding on hard turns), that is yet a different feature. We are talking about veering off in one direction with no input or reason and doing donuts on the runway with no input and no reason. On a flat surface, with no input, they should generally drive straight (barring some kind of placement or construction issue) and they don't, not even close.
  20. This is a known issue in Unity 5 which we hope to be fixed by the 1.2 patch. Because it is in Unity, it affects all PC and Console versions.
  21. No, you are talking about a feature they added. I'm talking about the bugs. The wheels are massively bugged, they slip and slide around the runway as if they have no traction at all. The wheel stress is not a bug, it's a challenge.
  22. You can do egg-style fairings, but it's not as smooth and annoyingly difficult to accomplish and Proc Fairings is way easier. The stock fairings would be drastically better with some edge smoothing, but in the end I still think I'd like the ProcFairings mod better. One thing you definitely can not do with stock fairings however is TD&E. No matter what you will always be missing the 'E'. You can do this with Proc Fairings (see below), however it does not have a petal fairing, which would be even more accurate to the Apollo craft. There are several other mods with petal fairings out there though, KW Rocketry has the best Apollo replica I've seen, since it leaves a half static fairing to extract from. SSTU has one, but from what I've seen of it, it casts off the whole fairing, so it's not much better than stock.
  23. Doesn't matter if it behaves like it's made of dirt, you can take off from it,it's pretty easy in fact, and you don't have to use the grass as a crutch.
