  1. @Brain: Love your signature! Totally gonna steal it!!
  2. What are the green (sometimes grey) rectangles below forum users' names? Just curious. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before.
  3. Unless you're forcing yourself to keep playing stock, I highly recommend navyfish's docking alignment indicator. HERE While you're at it, the enhanced navball works wonders as well. HERE These mods in no way automate things for you. IMHO, they just present the info in an easy to understand way.
  4. Seems like the craft is travelling from right to left in that pic before "escaping" More senior forum members might chime in to correct my noob answer but, click on the periapsis and reduce you velocity, i.e. drag the retrograde marker on the manoeuvre node until you see some sort of ellipse. Looking at the navball, point your craft at a dark blue icon with three lines and a dot in the middle. Execute a burn for the amount of time it specifies just to the right of navball. Congrats, you're now in an orbit around the body and won't escape it's gravity. You can alter its inclination and/or apoapsis and periapsis once you have an elliptical orbit. EDIT: The user above me managed to post the reply in the time it took me to type my response.
  5. Omg, I had to post just to say you an awesome avatar pic Navy4422. That made my day!Hope this post doesn't break any forum rules and/or code of good conduct.Sorry if it does.
  6. This is soooo me! I managed to convince myself of how my perfectly functioning laptop meeting my all my needs other than KSP wasn't cutting it anymore. Bought a laptop with a serious GPU and 4 times the max ram this 32 bit masterpiece uses (didnt know at the time, thought 16 gb ram would allow me to KSP better. Shut up, I know now, I was wrong) And this, just to launch "moar" rockets while I'm away from my beast of a desktop. Did I mention I keep the save files on these machines synced, and carry a save file on a USB on my lanyard, just in case? Yeah, I have a problem!!!
  7. Hello fellow KSPers, I just signed up for the forum and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been playing KSP since 0.13 and consider myself obsessed with this game. I've used the forum on numerous occasions from needing help with basic gameplay back in the day to installing and reinstalling the mods every time an update is rolled out. I feel like I've played the game long enough to be able to help some of the new players if I could. I would just like to contribute to this awesome community, in any way I could, in what little time I get from my random work schedule and copious amounts of playing KSP.
