i dont know is this is experienced by everyone but ive noticed that whenever i get a hovering vehicle moving faster than about 80m/s, it has an annoying habit of stopping the repulsors and the craft smashes straight into the ground. i have been trying to develop things like podracers and fast over land vehicles but they always would crash when i got to a deacent speed. i have noticed from other people's videos that podracers made with foundries will work perfectly fine on those who have high speed computers and crash like i described on ones that arent. i dont know what this is caused by or how to fix it, having no experience with mods in ksp other than installing them, but i at least have determined it has something to do with framerate and presumably the mod being unable to load the repulsion against the terrain at a certain speed.
