  1. Love over Gold... IMO the best Dire Straits album of them all. *Strongly* recommended! Telegraph Road is a Magnum Opus for the ages. Best, -Slashy
  2. So on today's list of "obscure tracks that weren't really obscure".... I give you 'Industrial Disease' from Dire Straits. 1982, Vertigo Records.
  3. 2005... A CSN &Y album I don't have in my collection. It does appear in the '91 Anthology, but that's a 4 CD set. Track 3 of disc 4. It was a more popular song than that... Best, -Slashy
  4. Yup... On the subject of CSN, I always wondered why "Southern Cross" was never on their Best Of albums. Same with Black Cow/ Steely Dan, Peace Frog/ The Doors, and Stone in Love/ Journey. These were popular, even iconic songs... but apparently not enough to make the greatest hits anthologies
  5. Just Jim, But my parents were pretty far from "underground", yet I remember it very clearly. I wonder if it was used in an old Electric Company or Sesame Street short. I distinctly remember hearing it. I can even picture the room I was in at the time. Best, -Slashy
  6. Just Jim, Okay, that's just weird. I know that I've never owned this album, or heard of the band, album or title. But hearing the song instantly transported me back to when I was a toddler. I'm certain I've heard it before, and I remember being very tiny when I heard it. Maybe it got played on a PBS show? I was born in '71 if that helps... Best, -Slashy
  7. Just Jim, If you owned that album, you're definitely one of the lucky few! Copies of that album are worth serious loot today. Back when I was a teenager, I had copies of both Madhouse 8 and 16 on 33 1/3 vinyl. Loved them both and played them to death. I had no idea they'd be so valuable today... Best, -Slashy
  8. I've got a treat for you: This was Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham from *before* they joined Fleetwood Mac and created it's signature sound. My favorite track on the album and seriously obscure. Best, -Slashy
  9. Such beautiful harmonies! Fleetwood Mac forever! -Slashy
  10. I agree with you in principle, but in practice perhaps not (at least from their perspective). It's one thing to have a free mod spitting out incorrect answers, but an entirely different situation when it's software people are paying you for. Perhaps they prefer to let this sleeping dog lie because a mod is available? Best, -Slashy
  11. To clarify, it's not like the Devs are following this discussion with keen interest, waiting for us to come to a consensus so they can run off and implement our decision. We should keep in mind that everything discussed in this thread is hypothetical and has no bearing in the real world. None of us has the authority to decide what goes into the stock game, so there's no sense in getting angry at each other about it. The devs will do whatever they decide when (and if) they decide to. Best, -Slashy
  12. To be fair, computing the former is a much more straightforward process than the latter. Pinning down what constitutes a "stage" in someone else's design can be devilishly difficult. Best, -Slashy
  13. ^ Engineer. Sounds like an interesting concept; some will love it and others will hate it Best, -Slashy
  14. I don't have a dog in this particular fight so long as the info can be turned off. But having said that, it *could* be a pretty cool addition to the career gameplay mechanics. Like upgrading tracking to display DV in flight, and upgrading the VAB to display DV and TWR during build. Perhaps a second upgrade to the VAB to unlock stage planning, like how I do it now. That's true, but it also limits the scope of what you can achieve at the same time. The information and parts open up as you go, but the goals also get more difficult. Best, -Slashy
  15. It doesn't matter whether you understand that or not. It's enough to simply say that we do have fun playing our way and don't want it taken away. As I've said repeatedly upstream, it should be added as stock, but optional. Especially in the console, where they don't have the option to add it themselves. Best, -Slashy
  16. Kobymaru, Not true. The common argument is that they enjoy figuring it out in their game, and don't want it provided to them. You are free to include it in your game if you wish. This is the common argument... unless you're aware of someone calling for the banning of MJ and KER. Best, -Slashy
  17. Trolley buses: How do they keep the pantographs connected to the catenaries?
  18. Correct! 75 seconds burn time. Now for a trickier one: What's the exhaust velocity?
  19. Negatory. Assuming you provide 7,500 pounds of propellant.
  20. Thrust 10,000 *pounds* and 100 pounds per second fuel flow. Yes sir...
  21. Stuck in the way- back machine now. Damn you, Sir! -Slashy
  22. "the essence of" sounds a bit subjective. I suspect that's the problem I think if you look around, you will find very few people (if ever) will attempt to make the "I like playing KSP this way, so everyone should be forced to do the same" argument except when being facetious or attempting to create a (very flimsy) strawman argument. Best, -Slashy
